lizzy16 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 I get a rid to school with my seminary teacher Brother C. I live about 2 miles from him, a mile from the church and I'm not on his way We get out of seminary at 6:50. Everyday he comes, picks me up and sometimes will take me and his 2 teenage children out to breakfast. Subway, breakfast sandwhich at the corner gas station or a pastry at the local grocery store. We usually go out to get food 1 a week. Theres two other students who come to seminary. One of them we drop off at their aunts house. Sometimes she'll come to school with us. The backseat is a 3 seater but a bit cramped. We often move our things around to fit everyone, their backpacks and purses, gym bags, scriptures, instruments ect in the backseat. Today we went to the local grocery store and the teenage son was in a very bad mood. I made this random noise (rolling our r's but more of a trill.) that we usually all make together to cheer him up. He then said "Stop liz. It's cause of stupid things like that and your energy that the gps chargers broken." I didn't get what he said and was quiet the rest of the trip. I had no idea what he was talking about. I just realized that theres a cigarette charger in the console that charges in the back cigarrete lighter. I'm assuming it got broken perhaps during our daily moving-stuff-around routine although it could have been before. Am I fault? Should I replace it? I really had no idea... Quote
Wingnut Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Vocal intonations don't break electrical circuitry. The boy was being a jerk, and you aren't obligated to replace anything. Quote
Guest Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I have a feeling the problem goes beyond the charger. Men are allowed their hormonal mood swings too. Just be his friend. That's all you can do. Quote
slamjet Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Kind of sounds like what I taught my daughters from very young... "Boys are idiots." Thus far, it has explained and lessened the trauma of all the strange behaviors they've had to endure in school. Quote

Dravin Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Ignoring the drama I'm sure if the owner (I'm assuming it is the Father's car you are in) felt you were responsible for damage he'd inform you. Now including the drama, my diagnosis is a severe case of bad mood by other causes. We may not bleed monthly but we still get moody. :) Quote
Suzanne627 Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 How embarrassing for you to be blamed for that .I'm sorry! I agree with the pp, if the seminary teacher felt you were to blame, he would bring it up to you. Certainly no one saw or acknowledged when it happened, so know one can say for sure what happened.
