aurora Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 Has anyone out there read the seventh seal series by the Drapers? I found it exciting, scary and a fab read. When I tried to recommend it to a friend he told me he would not read it as he thought that it was unneccessary scaremongering. WHAT DO YOU THINK? Harsh or insightful ? Quote
Snow Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 I've never read any Mormon fiction but here's this:http://www.aml-online.org/reviews/b/B200335.html Quote
jamesh1954 Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 Neither harsh or insightful. Sorry. It was a good read though. I did enjoy: The Great and Terrible (vol. 1) and When Angels Fall (Vol 2) by Chris Stewart. and Added Upon by Nephi Anderson. Quote
insertwittynamehere Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 I think sometimes people are scared of the Second Coming because they aren't prepared. Thus, they have negative feelings about it and probably would prefer not to indulge in something that will get them even more stressed and worried. Quote
Christos Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 I love the idea of the second coming and the rapture. It is a period of celebration and joy. We will finally be with God once more. Let's just hope that we have all those that we know (and that we don't know) saved. Yes the devestation of the Earth is a scary thought but it is the closing of a very long chapter. Quote

Alot of research went into this book and notable good points are given within to aid those who seek further knowledge of what John saw. Recommended reading material…Even Nephi stated he witnessed the same vision and was told not to write it since it was left up John to write it. Even Joseph Smith stated, it is the plainest written book ever be written. What he didn't say, I seen the same vision and understand the meaning of the book. Off and on, I do correspond via e-mail to Richard with various topic questions. Quote
