Hiring security

Yes. Where you're located is a good way to start. If you're in Utah, contacting a security firm should work just fine.

If you're located outside of Utah, it might be a bit trickier, unless you're willing to fly a security expert out.

How much experience are you looking for and what sort of security expert? Are you looking for an LDS security guard? Professional bodyguard? Ex-military with anti-sniper experience?

You can probably find any of those for the right price. Obviously, the more specialized the skillset, the more you'll be paying.

I am in Southern Utah. Don't need a world class security guy, just someone who has some experience and who can provide security for a person for a few days.

Depends on the type of security you need. A good place to start would be locally. Talk to your local police and sheriff department. There may be someone or a group of individuals that are willing to take leave to help you. They also may be aware of others currently working in other areas of the state that will work for you.
