What I want is just a bar phone with touchscreen w/ on-screen qwerty keyboard (and free or cheap w/ upgrade). Looking at AT&T's options the main phones that fit that are the Eternity II and Solstice II (I have a Solstice right now). The thing is I'm hearing some horrible reviews, and have some concerns of my own. The main concern is a poor speaker volume, something that plagues me on my Solstice (the other concern brought up by others is a poor touchscreen, but if it's on par with the Solstice... well, I've adapted to it). I'm looking for a dumb phone as I don't want to be shelling out for data (else I'd have better options). The LG Vu Plus is tempting due to the better reviews but it lacks a landscape on-screen keyboard (from what I understand) and is a slider (which I don't like as it results in a thicker phone).
