Ever Heard Of Voice Male?

Anyone ever hear of the group from utah voice male? Well one of their members just moved into our ward out here in SC. I am assigned to be his wife's visiting teacher. The whole ward is so excited about them, but I never heard of them. I dont want to look stupid going over there and not knowing a thing about them!

I don't think you would necessarily "look stupid" for not knowing them. It's all part of the process MBASS. :) When my wife, new baby son and I lived in SLC, "an agent" came over and told us, "No Jennifer Azi (WMBA superstar-I guess) is moving in next door. She is very private and doesn't want people asking for her autograph." I said, "First of all, I have no clue who that is and secondly, if anyone is going to be asking for an autograph, it will be here asking for my son's."

I watch my mother make a fool out of her self going up to some guy and asking him “do I know you from some were”? Steve Martin, I was waving at her like “Mom Stop” and she just kept on talking to him.

He walked awayafter they chatted, he said "I do a little TV and Movie work" My mom said "Oh thats nice" and kept right on talking.

She died when I told her who that was.

Bands are a test thing none can see you as stupid if it is not your kind of music.

I have family who work for NBC a producer, I have learned that they just have different and interesting jobs then the rest of us mortals. Keep that in mind their like every one else.

They would find it a breath of fresh air if you didn’t hold it against them

I guess since I have met a few celebrities in the past...I dont get worked up over "famous" people. I seem to be the only one who is like big deal! Maybe they'll appreciate someone not falling over them?!

What is it about celebrities that make people go "oh"? What happens specifically to you when you see/meet someone "extraordinary"? Some people look like this others this and some people this what is it?

Good question! I dont know why people go "oh" to celebs! I have met a few and wasnt all that impressed by most of them!

I do the big smiley thing when I meet a celeb who I really like, I think it's just happiness brought on by meeting someone who's work you admire, who's work has brought you happy memories.

I don't think I would react like this to celebs who I don't admire in some way, however, I would probably sneer if they were somebody I particularly disliked for some reason or other...(not just cos I don't like their music, acting etc. more personality traits, the way they apparently treat people)

Well, one of the celebs I've met quite a few times, and I am still like a teenager in my initial meeting with them...celeb spotting mode!!

However, the more I've seen of this particular person, the more easily I've found it is to just speak to him and joke around with him as if he is just like one of us...which he is of course!!

Can't stop that initial starstruck stuff tho!! I think it's just excitement.

I think it's more the excitement of being able to tell your friends "I,ve met that person!!!" To which they reply "AAAAUUUUGGGHHH. You have??? I wish I were there too!!!"

they were our neighbors until a few weeks ago. Very kind people. Salt of the earth. Please tell them their last ward misses them. Also, if they haven't heard yet about their last bishop, you might want to suggest they call someone from our ward for specifics. The ward is putting together a book of memories this week for the bishop's family. Your new neighbors might want to contribute a memory or two - so please invite them to contact "Barb" with their comments anytime this week.
