Well, I've made alot of progress from my porn addiction. I haven't had problems for 4 months, though this showed up this morning:

I woke up in the between stage of waking up with an erection while having a 'wet' dream. I was partialy awake, but i felt that I wasn't enough to stop myself. I understand that that is the natural way of getting rid of build up, though I don't know how to feel about it...

Any help would be well appreicated.

Having an erection and masturbating is normal and healthy from a medical standpoint. But as you know, the church frowns upon and strongly discourages the practice of masturbation. Take one step at a time. 4-months of being porn-free is a triumph. Continue to work towards being porn-free. Hopefully you have a support system that is helping you through this progress. As you learn to control your thoughts and actions better, take the next step and then another step, and then another. Don't try to conquer everything at once. Get on your knee bones and talk to the Lord when you feel weak or need guidance. Guilt and shame are vices that Satan loves to use against us, in order to keep us feeling helpless and worthless. Know what you want and strive towards that goal. Mistakes will be made along the way but don't throw the towel in. Best of luck.

I don't know how to explain it too well, but it just felt like I was asleep, yet, I knew it was happening and couldn't really stop my thought process. Should I feel bad about what happened?

No.

One thing I had to learn is the difference between weakness and sinning, acceptance and paranoia. We are mortal and are full of weakness. I will look at a lady and think in my mind that she's attractive. Sin? No, human male weakness. Same with wet dreams and the thought process that goes along with it. We have very little control over our dreams thus it is an inherent weakness of mortality. Now, if you use this and go to porn and/or masturbation, then you are sinning.

ZackBz, i got some great advice for ya.

though i dont have too much experience in the pornography subject, all i can say about that is stay strong and stay close to your bishop. they are there to help!

BUT of the latter question, about erections and wet dreams let me inform you on something.

90% or higher of boys/guys who are unmarried go through the same thing you are. Its a natural thing for your body to yearn for sex. anyone who says sex is disgusting or wrong is stupid. sex is not bad, sex just has to happen at the right time. i dont want this to sound disrespectful, but in the most civil way possible, God MADE you to be sexual. Porn is whats disgusting and its obvious you know that, otherwise you wouldnt be trying to quit.

now whats happened is because youve started viewing porn (accompanied with self gratification or not), you've given your body a head start that i believe youre regretting. you've started your engines in a sense too early. SO your body is creating semen, naturally. well... when you dont self gratify, your body still wants to get rid of it. so because you are naturally a sexual being, obviously you desire it. because you desire it, you dream about it. because you dream about it, you wake up with a wet dream.

how you get rid of that head start and slow down your wet dreams so they dont happen as often is brideling your thoughts, quit the porn like you have, and dont do anything with that erection when you wake up. i hope this isnt TMI, but im 21 and still wake up with an erection just about every morning whether i had a sexual dream or no dream at all. at first i was like "what in the world..." lol and i spoke to my bishop about it and he said even married men still wake up hard. wet dreams will die down when youre married and sexually active.

YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THAT. and again, its natural! so dont feel bad about waking up pointing at the ceiling or having one of those dreams. What you SHOULD feel bad is if you give in and start doing things with that erection. THAT is where the sin starts, is your conscious actions.

So, to boil it down.

waking up hard, or waking up to a wet dream is in no wise a sin at all. its natural.

porn, masterbating.. is a sin.
