Tempted Beyond Our Capacity?

In the first Book of Mormon lesson of the year, we learned that Satan will lead us by a flaxen cord by the neck and then bind us with strong cords. A flaxen cord is a very fine cord that can cut your skin if you pull on it. Imagine letting Satan lead you by this razor thin line wrapped around your neck. Once he has you with one cord, he'll wrap another around your neck and another and so on until you've gone too far. Don't let it get that far. How? Mighty prayer and daily scripture study in the Book of Mormon. Not just casual reading. No. Meaningful, prayerful study in this new covenant. There is a power that will fill you if you read and study it and it will give you strength to see temptation coming, it will make you wise to recognize the adversary's fiery darts coming. It will bring you closer to God than any other book.
