Backroads Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 I just had a very strange past 25 minutes with a very strange work-related phone call. I was on the phone with a co-worker in a satellite office where my in-laws were while I texted said in-laws, trying to figure out an issue. My brother-in-law, who has his Eagle court of honor this coming Sunday, has a missing Eagle. After much of searching and myself harrassing the Eagle lady in the office next door, we found record (here at my present office, where my in-laws' unit rarely goes) of some guy picking up an Eagle for the only Backroads' BiL name registered in our council. We have deduced this mystery man of Eagles is most likely in my in-law's stake, and currently my in-laws are trying this man's many phone numbers to find out just where this Eagle is. It was so time for me to go home. My council, some years ago, alterned its Eagle-pick-up policy in order to please both parents and church leaders so that ANYONE can pick up the darn things. Sigh. So... question at hand... who picks up your Eagle awards and do you have any horror stories? (Another one I heard tale about from poor-aforementioned-lady-in-other-office was where the responsible young Eagle Scout himself picked it up, threw it in the back of his car, and forgot about it for months). pam Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 LMAO! the world is so upside down, we are all looking for answeres and those who don't look are satisfied. Well that certainly answers the OP's question. Quote
Backroads Posted March 24, 2012 Author Report Posted March 24, 2012 In a way, it confirms what I already know. Quote
paracaidista508 Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 My kid got his last year. We picked it up an we organized the court of honor. Troop stayed out of it. You should get a packed along with an Eagle Card (lookes like a credit card). Take that to the scout office and you can buy the eagle badge and the associated stuff. Quote
Guest Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 I have not heard of anybody getting an Eagle in our ward since I moved in 6 years ago... Quote
