pam Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 (edited) Well I do know that many consider 666 the sign of the beast or of Satan. Is that what you are referring to? Edited January 2, 2013 by pam Quote
pam Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 I moved this thread. I'm not sure why it was posted on the Jewish beliefs forum. Quote
rameumptom Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 666 is only found in the Bible. It probably referred to the Roman Emperor Nero in the days of the apostle John. Quote
Gramajane Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 · Hidden Hidden I do not believe there is any teaching about it in the cannon of the LDS faith. There are some from several different churches that add up the writing on what is said to be on the Popes hat, and say that it adds up to 666. I do not know if this is true. The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints has nothing about that in the Book of Mormon, though it comes from the Bible, I understand to my knowledge (but then my knowledge is limited ;0.. Why is it important to you??

Blackmarch Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 What is 666 in the book of mormonpossibly a page number maybe depending on how your book is formatted. other than that theres no mention of john's revelation in the book of mormon other than that they weren't allowed to write it as it was John's duty/authority to give it to man.
