pam Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 This is a historic meeting. Our path back to Heavenly Father is marked with sacred covenants. We were tutored before we came into this life.We learned that the Father had a plan of happiness to help us through our trials. This plan is marked by covenants by God.It is our choice whether we make or break these covenants. Each of us is a daughter of the covenant.Heavenly Father taught us before we were born that the way back home to Him would not be easy.As covenant sisters, keep that commitment to comfort and help.Heavenly Father smiles on us as he sees us help another on the covenant path.He sees us not as who we are but as what we can become.Heavenly Father sees greater potential in His children than our earthly mothers see in us.He sees that glorious potential in his daughters. He expects us to treat each person we meet as a child of God.Your feelings of kindness and forgiveness comes as your divine inheritance from Him as his daughter. You are more like His daughters of God than you are different. While Satan is attacking sisters at earlier ages, the Lord is lifting sisters to higher levels of spirituality. In missions across the world, sisters are being called to serve as leaders.Every daughter of Eve has the potential to bring the same blessing to their family as Eve did to hers. One great gift that Eve gave and we can all give, she helped her family see the way home.We have Eve’s example to follow. She recognized the way home to God.God the Father watches over each of us in love. Quote

lagarthaaz Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 The conference is being shown at our Stake Center next Saturday (I'm in Australia). I'll be going with my 11 year old daughter who thought it might be boring until she realized all her friends her age will be coming too Quote
pam Posted March 30, 2014 Author Report Posted March 30, 2014 The great thing about this conference is they showed a few videos. I think that helped keep the attention of even the youngest girls. Quote
lagarthaaz Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 I'm looking forward to it, and I'll probably watch it before I attend as well. Would love to attend the actual Women's Conference one day - I have friends who have just traveled from my city to take a holiday in the U.S. and attend General Conference, one of their 'bucket list' items. I'm trying not to be jealous :) (though I'm not jealous their first day at Disneyland in CA was marred by a minor earthquake) Quote
Roseslipper Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 you and your daughter will enjoy the conf!! An aussie how cool. We have a sweet loving sister missionary in our stake from Australia. Quote
Wingnut Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 The great thing about this conference is they showed a few videos. I think that helped keep the attention of even the youngest girls. And they were smart enough to show the videos (and do the \"name that tune\" thing) toward the beginning, because they knew that they were going to lose attention no matter what. They capitalized on it while they still had it. pam 1 Quote
