Hello everyone.

30 year old guy here dropping in to say hi,

 

For the past little while I've been meeting with Missionaries and discussing my beliefs / worldview and to my surprise, It turns out my own personal thoughts and opinions on life are very Mormon, even my thoughts on the afterlife. For the longest time I have been looking for a spiritual home as I didn't grow up in a religious home however I always felt / suspected there was a god. 

 

I have just recently finished the Book Of Mormon and was very impressed yet I'm taking a couple of weeks to let it digest before I move onto the D/C.I have attended Church a few times and found everyone to be very welcoming and friendly so thus far everything has been straightforward. 

 

I have looked at what some ExMormons have had to say along with everyone else who seemingly has a problem with the Church and none of it seems to have me worried in the slightest.Despite being wet behind the ears in terms of my knowledge of Mormonism, most of the criticisms I've seen thus far are ad hominem or word games so this hasn't caused any concern.Raised eyebrows yes, but not concern.

 

Anyways, that is why I'm here. I'm looking forward to reading more about the Latter Day Saints ( which is a cool name by the way ) so that I can come to understand the Church better and be baptized. 

 

Also, I'm not one for internet forums as I'm not really into the whole Internet culture,( I don't even have a facebook ) but I'll be around here for a while so I'll happily talk to anyone but you shouldn't get any trouble from me as I've no times for trolls and whatever else. 

 

Ps, Usernames is the name of my local Chinese Take Away before anyone asks lol.
