FrankJL Posted July 8, 2007 Report Posted July 8, 2007 http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article....RTICLE_ID=56556Now keep in mind, this would not be legislation. So it would not need to be passed as a normal bill would. It would be new guidelines setup by OSHA, as an executive agency. Quote
prisonchaplain Posted July 8, 2007 Report Posted July 8, 2007 Hmmmm. No unsafe mixing of fire arms munitions with explosives at commercial facilities? Perhaps the devil is in the details, but this seems "safe and sane," more than it does a sinister attempt by tyrranical govt to disarm citizens and force them into subjugation. Quote

Once they can begin regulating bullets as explosives, then they will be able to that having a gun in you home is a type of child abuse though negligence. Quote
sixpacktr Posted July 8, 2007 Report Posted July 8, 2007 If Billary, Barack Obamasama, and Chappaquidick Ted are behind it you bet your sweet bibby this is a backdoor way of making it even harder to have firearms. Buy all the guns you want, boys, you just won't be able to buy any ammunition! All the more reason to have a "2 year supply" of ammo, so that when the gov't gets it way and makes it impossible for us to buy bullets and shells we can still use our weapons... Quote

In the army, I shot thousands of rounds, should I use that as sometype of threshold? Quote
prisonchaplain Posted July 8, 2007 Report Posted July 8, 2007 I understand the toe-in-the-door analogy. However, the argument quickly becomes a "slippery slope" fallacy. After all, if we allow government to prohibit the sale of fully automatic weapons to pre-adolescents, well, next they'll try to restrict teenage use, and then...except of course, we already have those restrictions. It does not NECESSARILY follow that if government regulates the storage of munitions near flamables and explosives, that our 2nd amendment will be shot. The devil may be in the details, but we'll need evidence of that. Quote

I only have one handgun though, a Glock 31, and at most I have 2 boxes of rounds for it. .357 rounds are pretty expensive. Quote
the Ogre Posted July 8, 2007 Report Posted July 8, 2007 Once my kids are out of the house, I want to get a Browning 9m. I'll be going to the range often because I miss shooting. Two or three boxes. I do think guns are important, but I do not buy every arguement the NRA makes. I like trigger locks and waiting lists. I think a little more regulation on sales might be a good thing, but still that's a toe in the door. Quote
