"Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.

The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was afour year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into theold gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,

"Nothing, I just helped him cry"

Dear Friends

Can you do this for someone today, just be there for them, and help them cry, or do whatever it is that they need to do. No judging them, no giving your advice, welcomed or unwelcomed, no offering your opinion, no trying to fix them or make them better. Only your presence, your heartfelt love, compassion, understanding and gentle allowing.

Can you do that for someone today?"

What is the name of one?

The ones that I really love are:

"Papa, My Father" (could have the name slightly wrong)

"Love"

"The Way of the Bull"

I have a few others but can't remember them off hand at the moment.... I love his writing :)

That's a lovely story Susie...sometimes when a friend or relative is suffering, all you can do is be there for them...words don't always seem appropriate...it's good to know that it is enough sometimes to do that.
