We were poor pathetic scoundrels who always backed the wrong horse in political disputes -we were not good at picking the side that would win and thus ended up having to flee with the clothes on our backs, change our last name (very annoying!) and run off to France or Ireland to hide out for a generation. What is wrong with these people that they cannot spell their own last name consistently? How drunk were these people? Why can't I have a family important enough for someone to write a book about them? I am back to the 16th century on one line and then these wretches just disappear. Stupid sods! I should leave them till they sort themselves out in the millennium. Thoroughly fed up with the lot of these lousy sheep stealers. I will never get them traced back to the clan graveyard in Loch Slough. Stupid ginger haired mutts. Why couldn't I have better behaved ancestors??
