zil Posted September 13, 2017 Author Report Posted September 13, 2017 Now, what was I thinking this morning when I read this? I know I was thinking something.... Oh yes, I was thinking about how Alma seems to go out of his way to specify that he doesn't know everything - that he had to inquire diligently to learn the thing he wanted to know (a thing we now teach about and perhaps take for granted). He states when he's giving his opinion and when he's unsure about certain details. If this isn't a prime example of a person learning line upon line, I don't know what is. IMO, it's also a perfect example of how we shouldn't assume that the scriptures of the past have everything we need to know. Clearly the Lord is revealing further details as time goes on. To quote a prophet: Quote The most important prophet, so far as we are concerned, is the one who is living in our day and age. Anywho, I just found this a very interesting chapter. Quote

I just know she's been busy, and I wanted to comment on chapter 40, so I figured I'd catch us up. (I'm happy to go back to being a regular poster now.) SpiritDragon 1 Quote
