Revelation "activities" for youth

The Bishop approved it. He wouldn’t dare not to. He’s caught H-E- double toothpick enough from Stk Pres that he knows to just agree and keep things calm and happy.

 

So I worked all afternoon yesterday on a lesson, tried to throw in some fun stuff like a treasure hunt and colorful handouts. I was advised to have everything in order and have something the girls could take home because the SP would grill his daughter on what she learned. But she wasn’t even there. 😠 

So the Laurels and Priests got a serious lesson about revelation like the Beehives did. No one liked that, as we guessed they wouldn’t. I just don’t think we’re going to be able to comply with this all summer. We’re going to lose kids along the way.

@Mcmomma I am really sorry! You worked so hard! I feel for you. I once had to teach the RS sisters that nurturing was our main reason for existence and they almost barbecued me! Sigh. Can be tough at times. I always follow instructions. Teach the lesson as directed. Sigh. I hand out chocolate at times!

There's five of your six weeks.  The sixth could either be an overarching intro, a follow up on the goals, or an extra week on one of the goals per the needs of your group.

Get your class presidencies to help you.  They'll know what activities might speak to them and the other girls.  Also, they'll be more invested if they've had a hand in planning.

That's exactly what I did!! Chocolate always helps. 😁
