Carborendum Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 (edited) Background: The guy in the orange shirt has a Youtube channel that shows him in lower income neighborhoods cleaning up people's yards for free. He got MILLIONS of views on this video. That's how he makes his money. He is helping out poor people and helping beautify the world around him. And America allows him to make a living at it. Capitalism allows him to make a living at serving the needs of the poor. Code enforcement showed up to fine the homeowner and found him working on it. They recognized him and asked if he could do a couple of other places too. I got the impression that they would really not have to fine people for the unkempt yards. But it was their job. They were more than happy to postpone ticketing some houses if they could arrange with him to take care of those as well. Everyone wins. Edited January 23 by Carborendum Backroads and zil2 2 Quote
zil2 Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 I love watching these. SBMowing is good, too. And Midlife Stockman. There are lots of folks out there doing this kind of thing - usually in the Bible belt - go figure. Carborendum 1 Quote
