HaggisShuu Posted February 8 Report Posted February 8 6 Now this is not all thy gift; for you have another gift, which is the gift of Aaron; behold, it has told you many things; 7 Behold, there is no other power, save the power of God, that can cause this gift of Aaron to be with you Anyone got any idea what this mysterious gift of Aaron is? I've read that when the book of commandments was original published this actually read "the gift of working with the rod" or some such phrase and that it was intended it to mean a diving rod, and it was changed into the "gift of Aaron" when we got the D&C. The interpretation of what this means now is just symbolic of Oliver Cowdery's role in supporting the prophet Joseph Smith, like Aaron did with Moses. To me this seems a bit vague considering this is not what the revelation originally read. Does anybody have any insights to offer? Quote
