Since this thread covered DEI quite a bit, I'll post this anecdote:

Many people looking at the demographics of the US Army notice that minorities tend to be perfectly represented in the standard army regiments.  But there is a noticeably smaller number of minorities who graduate from specialized units like the Rangers.  Well, there is a reason for that.  And it ain't racism.

It's true.  If we're talking about large, strong, athletic men, they tend to be much more physically dense than large, strong, athletic men of other races.  So, while their physicality helps them in other aspects, it is a weakness in swimming.
