AnthonyB, It's an interesting notion, that Jesus created his own body...and yet such appears to be the case. I'm not sure what to make of it. Vanhin, I love the spirit of honor in your quotes about Jesus.

Jesus did create everything that was created. I'm not sure I would call the incarnation a creation. Scripture says that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. I'm satisfied to leave it at that.

There are two very important notions that the scripture teaches us about G-d and his nature. The first I have already pointed out - that Jesus the Christ was a created creature, born of a mother as all men are created - thus he was both creator and created. The second is that the Word became flesh. This is contrary to the notion of some, that the flesh was a temporary means that the Word abided just during his existance on earth. The Word that is eternal as witnessed by scripture became an eternal person of flesh.

It does appear to me that the reason or purpose and destiny of the Word becoming an eternal person of flesh is so that all man also can become eternal persons of flesh.
