I'm hating the roller coaster...... However I'm grateful my father sounds better today.......I know the tole going back and forth is much harder on my mother...I can atleast say I'm finally at peace with it all....I had a great talk with my mother in law, she's awesome at putting things in there true perspective. I think I'll focus on my husband returning from Asia, and then focus on my dad once hubby has returned.

Ok....So he was doing better... I called today and he started breathing funny again, I had to make him ring the nurse, it was scarring me. They cannot put the defibulator in his chest because he's not strong enough, he has a clot on the bottom part of his heart...They are looking at sending him home maybe next weak if he's better.....because he's on cumaden, Bad thing is if that clot gives way and the cumaden doesn't work we were already told he wont make it to the hospital in time. My faith is all in the lord right now. I truly just wish I was home.......................... Laureltree

I know Im living my life for the lord...I'm not a murder and neither is he......and neither are mormons....and that I'm grateful for.

Hi, Guys......My dad is doing much better.....His dr came in and told him he is a miracle....He was very straight forward, and simply told him they expected him to not make it. His heart was working at 10-15 %, and the drugs they gave him were more than likely expected to give him a reverse action ( meaning it would have a bad side effect, but the dr had no other choice) However there was noside effect and he is doing well. The Dr said he cannot garantee him 5yrs or even 2yrs, but he said if you quit smoking and take your meds, I can garnetee you will live as long as your body holds out! We were just excited for a little more time weather its a week, a month or a year....time is time....... My mom, truly feels her faith has grown, I truly have seen she has grown.....We all know without the lord he would not have made it. I feel so...blessed to just have him another day more and each one after... Laureltree

ALRIGHT !!! This is an area I'm good at lol My husband is finishing his executive Masters program at Pepperdine in CA, between that and his J.O.B which is mainly out of town 3-4 days a week we would barely see him..So............. We decided to make FHE an hour we don't answer the phone the door or the cell or email, make it on a day you can commit to. Date night Ahhhhhh This is 1-2 hours a week where you and your spouse shut everything out, even if it's after kids are in bed.....A romantic bath for two, popcorn and a movie you saw when you were dating, bring back that spark.... Family day, ask your family to give you the first half of the day, then the second half you can use for family time....I know I know what about the lawn....When My hubby was working and going to school I picked up the lawn care and If I can do it with 4 kids anyone can....We all would go outside, I would send the little kids to weed the garden ( another words play in it) I would mow while my older son help me empty the lawn shreds......This made it easier on hubby and gave us more time as a family, and I lost 15 lbs doing Also when you do your reading, have her cuddle up next to you and read her book after the kids are in bed, its romantic and it gives her some free time to read a good book. My husband and I also started getting up an hour earlier to work out together, it gives us a sense of accomplishment and togetherness..... Just my thoughts and it does work... Also if you have a son, my husband started taking my son hometeaching with him at age 4, he would carry his scriptures with him and dress up, he was sound proud of himself and it was very helpful in teaching by example...with a little bit of dad and me time. Could you please pray for my dad randall, he was admitted to the hospital two days ago, this afternoon he was transfered to I.C.U. He has something called Congenital Heart failure, his heart right now is working at 10-15%. The lord has blessed him throughh 4 major heartattacks.....If the lord thinks its his time I'm ok with that I just pray the lord waits until my husband returns from Asia so I can go and say goodbye..... We have 12 of the livingston missionaries in our ward, they evacuated them to here, I'm grateful they all made it here ok. We were told they had some pretty bad damage. I will find out exacts and get back to you. LaurelTree

Shanstress, It's simply being grateful to the lord...not hitting another area but just saving some of us...Why do some people always turn the most sincere thanks into a witch hunt for What aboutssssssss Get it together people ! My heart goes out to those who were hurt and I've been working my tail off to help them and open my home to them. BeanBlossom, Hi ....Boy do I know what you mean, our ward just split and quite a few of my friends are gone...I have only been in this ward 4-5 months, so for me it's like starting over...However there are so many new sisters who are feeling the way you are, reach out to them and you will see them reach in return. I have learned thats the best way to be..I have moved 4 times in the last 4 years....and have made more friends than I thought possiable. The funny thing is we just found out yesterday that if my hubby wants a VP job that may becoming avaliable we will have to move back to Southern California...I decided we will rent houses from here on out, I'm starting to hate selling homes. The good thing is I have the church and there are and always will be sisters looking and praying to meet a friend, just as we all do. We hope to find that kindred spirit to becomes friends with and lord knows we always do, it just takes TIME & EFFORT ...I'll keep you in my prayers...... I'm going to have my husband put the picture up, you cannot tell much it's just super windy and super dark.......................We missed the heart of the storm and feel blessed, now we are gearing up to help those it did hit really bad. There was minimal damage at our house, but we have a friend who's going to fix it this week. Let's keep those people in our prayers all....They need it ..... Hugs LaurelTree

Why don't they deduct the money that came up missing from the budget to prepare for the storm and then we will help them! It's nice to see there senator and govenor letting everyone else pick up the pieces

I'm not sure strawberry.......But I thank you for all the prayers... We moved here May 10th to be closer to an office for my husband...I'm thinking about moving back to CA now.............. earthquakes I can handle..this is just to much...I will give updates until the power goes out, I will try to get photo's as well. SETH, No it means we were able to evacuate most everyone and its hittiing an erea that has not had much rain in 3 years.......Seth you always look for the bad in what people write...I suggest you look for the good. I have already started with the hygene kits so others will have them when it is time...We had prepared so well we were able to bless others who were not with water barrels, cases of water and food if it is needed. Seth this is how people work....We come together and give what we can and help in every possiable way.....We are opening homes up to those who are stranded and giving them shelter.......That is how the lord works seth....He does create natural desasters to hurt people, they just happen. He puts people in other peoples path to help them...He uses us as his instruments....." I will go and do the things the lord command" and I will stand as an example, "To do his will and be the example he would want me to be". I'm sorry my post upset you, it was meant for thanks, thanks that the many stranded in the open will be safer than they would have been, thanks for allowing the storm to minimize......I pray that all those in the path are safe and well............We will have power until around 2:00 pm today when the storm is expected to hit....PLEASE PRAY FOR THOSE IN THE PATH OF THE EYE OF THE STORM....THEY TRULY NEED IT !!! Yea we live in the houston area in a suburb called Humble...We have only been here for 4 months. I will post pictures of the huriicane so that people can see the before and after effects....We are blessed it has moved some and that we will not be hit head on...Thhe prayers have truly helped, god does listen Love and Prayers LaurelTree
