Hi Brett! I like all kinda Mustangs too except the ones from the 80´s and 90´s don´t look that cool. I have a Ford and a Chevy so I´m not the typical Ford guy even I prefer Ford. I love lots of music and it really depends on my mood. Right now I like Brad Paisley. Eric

I agree. But on the other hand how many times did I hear about liars in real life who just pretended to be nice.... then even were in relationships and showed their real face. You have to be careful and talk for some months with everyone to find out what they are like :)

I am more into talking in a personal way like in emails or pm. I also don´t love to show too many pics in a board if I don´t know who all can see them and if I can trust them. I guess it´s just the way I am I have not been on lds worldwide friends. At least I don´t remember even I am not that old haha but I have been on a few other lds boards. Members seem nicer in here though.

Grammar, spelling and manners are very important to me as well. I try to do my best as English isn´t my first language and I have 3 others I speak and write. Well I am referring to forum pm´s and personal emails. I am not a fan of chatrooms. If I want to talk more or have discussions with interesting people we send long emails or use a messenger like skype or msn.

There are a few categories of drunks. - The funny ones that keep laughing and telling jokes. They´re easy to handle and don´t do any harm. - The agressive ones who will get mad and try to attack you if you don´t agree with them. - The ones looking for trouble. They just go around and try to find someone to hit and start a fight. - The depressive ones. Will tell their live story and are depressed, looking for help. But... none of them will probably stop drinking if you tell them to. Not when they´re drunk and you´re there. So the best is not to get into discussions with them and mind the ones that could do any harm.

Well some online people may be nicer and not as creepy as random people you meet "for real". See what I mean? Not everyone has an "internet" face. I am the same in here as I am in real life. I say exactly the same things and I don´t play any games. Of course women shouldn´t talk to just anyone and trust anyone. That´s for sure. But if they do and someone is nice they should be kind enough not just to leave and quit talking without saying why or saying farewell. Maybe I have higher standards when it comes to the net etiquette or having manners. Or maybe we don´t talk about the same lol :)

Well I am serious about this topic. Whenever I talk to someone in the internet (in a good way) I consider them as "friends" and so that´s why I think it´s rude just to send no more answer or ignore. For some I or you may just be a number as we have seen each other in person. So they think they can easily throw that number away and exchange it against another one. For me I care for people and nobody is a number. I guess I am just too nice and think everyone has to think in the same way as I do.

Howdy folks! It often happens that you´re sending messages to members in here or other boards and then you´re getting no answer or they just stop talking after 2 or 3 messages. Do you consider this as rude or is it normal in your opinion? I do understand that everyone has his life and sometimes is busy and not in the mood to answer or write. Or just don´t want to. But.... I always answer back and never ignore people. I think it´s what you should do. Just asking for opinions :) Eric

I blame the media and society for the sexed up we have today. Everything is shown as normal and it seems the limits and taboos are beginning to disappear. Not only sexual but also if you think about drugs and teens beating each other up very bad and then getting it on cam to show in the net. Itßs all disgusting if you think about the world we have. But it´s the parents role to teach the kids what is wrong and what is right and it´s the parents task not to agree with the society and to be strong enough to be different. Most think they can´t change it anyway and just let everything go. That´s wrong. There is also a bit problem with sexual abuse, cheating up to rape among teens and young adults and most ignore it.

Throughout the Hebrew Testament and the New Testament, there is overwhelming biblical support for the divinely instituted punishment of death in cases of murder, such punishment to be carried out by the governing authority. There appears to be no biblical text which withdraws or condemns the punishment or that authority. Indeed, all evidence is quite to the contrary. Opponents and advocates of capital punishment often make fundamental errors in citing biblical text. Those errors are usually found within the following categories: (1) Confusing the obligations of individuals with those of the government. Example: Matthew 5:38-39: "You have heard that it was said, ‘an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, do not resist who is evil; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also." Strangely, opponents cite this as proof of Jesus’ abandonment of capital punishment. If one were to assume that this text referenced the actions of the governing authority and not individual obligations, then one would clearly find that government could not enforce any law which sought to protect the lives and property of its law abiding citizens. There is no reference to capital punishment in the text. Therefore, all wrongdoers, be that robbers, rapists or murderers could act repeatedly, with impunity, if the text was an obligation on the governing authority. This text is directed at individuals and has no application to the governing authority or its right and duty to execute. ( Carey, ibid F.18, pg. 122) (2) Isolating specific biblical text from the broader context of the discussion. Example: Ezekiel 33:11: "As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn back, turn back your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?" Let’s review Dr. Bailey’s analysis: "To some readers, that may be seem clear enough! God not only takes no "pleasure" in the death (execution?) of the wicked (criminal?), but prefers that they "turn back" (be rehabilitated?). Such understanding might indeed be justified if one could read the Bible atomistically, that is, one verse at a time, with the understanding that the verse has a self contained eternal truth. However, if the prophet is speaking to a specific audience about a particular problem, and if his response covers several verses (or even a chapter), then the modern interpreter must hear him out and look for the central idea. That is, what a verse says may not be what the context (and thus the prophet) means. . . .the words are addressed to the ‘house of Israel’ (specifically the Judean exiles of Babylonia), in response to their lament. (And) Who are the wicked? The exiles whose betrayal of the covenant has led to exile. What is meant by their "death"? Both their political situation ("we waste away") and their dwindling faith in the ancient concept of election. God takes no "pleasure" in the death of the wicked (i.e., does not see it as necessary that the exiles have this attitude and forever remain in Babylonia). The Deity desires repentance, change of priorities, renewal of ancient values, life as it was intended by this community {"turn back"} . . . and return to the promised land. Thus, the text is not concerned with the fate of anyone who has been sentenced to death by the judiciary (or even per se with individuals who face death), and it does not therefore suggest what the religious persons response should be in that case." Bailey, ibid F.31,pg. 42-43. "It is a faulty exegesis to take a verse of Scripture out of context and interpret it without regard to its qualifying words."See Vallenga, ibid F.26, pg. 65. (3) Believing that Christ abandoned the Law of the Hebrew Testament and instituted a new ethic in the New Testament, based solely on mercy. There are 20 chapters, within the 28 chapters of Matthew, which discuss destruction, hell, unquenchable fire, and/or differing forms of punishment and exclusion by God (see Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:22, 29-30; 8:12; 11:23-24; 12:30-32; 13:41-42, 49-50; 18:8-9; 22:2-14; 23:33, 25:40-46) and/or honor the Law of the Hebrew Testament (see specific references Matthew 5 and 15). "For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God." Ephesians 5:5. "When the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from Heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. And these will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power." 2 Thessalonians 1:7b-9. And so it is throughout the New Testament. Tithing scares away lots of people who are interested in church so I would no be that strict. I heard about members who are scared to admit they don´t have enough money so they will do everything to pay. That´s not good because heavently father surely knows who is a liar and who really is in trouble to pay tithing. Now I guess it´s always a bit different and depends on the people involved.

This discussion is as old as the world But it´s still interesting to discuss about what happened with the very bad guys like Hitler, Stalin and all of the mass murders. It´s a tough question and I even have seen missionaries having a hard time to explain.

I´m in Austria and that´s exactly what I mean.

I am from Europe and let me tell you this: The shops and even the largest malls close early daily and very early on Saturday. It´s just about politics and the mentality of the people. Not about the Sabbath or anything. People in Europe are not as far as religous as in the US and the youth would not admit to believe in God. It´s sad but it´s the truth generally. Europe having millions of immigrants from islamic countries doesn´t help any as well but that´s another discussion. Eric

Hi folks I´m new in here and chose that nick because I consider myself as (american) patriotic and the Boeing 777 is my favorite aircraft. As you see aviation is something I have lots of interest in among other like cars, movies, music and anything fun.
