  1. I have wondered sometimes as well why this part of the WOW isn't talked about more. For myself, I eat meat sparingly. For two years my family was vegetarian, and I can tell you that it's very possible to get everything you need nutrient wise without meat. One of the benefits was that my husbands cholesterol went from terrible to good with no medication. A few months ago, we decided to add some meat back in to our diet, but eat mostly veg.
  2. Everyone here had given you some great advice. I know what it's like to become inactive. I also know what it's like to face addictions. First of all , I want to congratulate you on overcoming what you have. That's a HUGE accomplishment! I too was worried about going back to church. I let that fear keep me away for far too long. Then, one Sunday I decided to just do it. I was amazed at how good it felt. It gace me the strength I needed to start living the gospel again. Talk to your bishop. If you are too scared to do that right away, just go to church. Let the Spirit have a chance to testify to you of Heavenly Father and Jesus' love for you. Then take it from there.

Here is one of the many sources I have about what "tea" constitutes. Herbal Teas – Which Herbal Teas Can Mormons Drink? 5. Really nice talk... thank you for sharing it.:)
  6. Green tea does have about the same amount of caffeine as regular tea. Basically, any tea that contains black, white or green tea are prohibited. Herbal teas are ok. Coffee is also against the WoW. Tea DOES contain antioxidants, but so do grape juice, blueberries and many other foods . In the end, it comes down to faith. Do you believe the WoW comes Heavenly Father? Since I do, it doesn't matter why tea is a no-no, it just IS. There are enough other beverages for me to drink. :)
  7. Hi there...nice to meet you! :)

  9. Those are beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing. :)
  10. I know few quiverful women/families, and they are not all the same religion. I think it's more of a personal revelation that they had. The Duggars (a pretty popular family on TLC and DHC) are the most famous quiverful family that I know of.
  11. Hi Rachel..nice to meet you! Love the name, btw. One of my daughters has the same name. :)

  16. I'm a 39 yr old wife and mother of five wonderful kids, ranging in age from 22 yrs to 2 yrs. I'm also a grandmother of 2. We have been members of the Church for several years, but are recently just coming back after years of inactivity. I'm so glad I found this place and am looking forward to getting to know a lot of you. :)
