  1. If you're looking for physical, perceivable, and tangible evidence of things that are spiritual, that's impossible. You cannot prove a negative. To try and prove something that exists beyond our bounds of perception (our 5 senses) is pointless. And atheists think we're stupid for believing in something we cannot see... Most people fail to recognize that we are all part of the universe, not higher than it... Arrogant humans... How pathetic.
  2. Doesn't that say something about what she thinks of you now? meh, just kidding I have no idea what it's like...
  3. One book you might want to get into (and I highly recommend it) is Phil Harrison's Clean Hands, Pure Heart. He incorporates the 12-step program that they use for alcoholics, but in this case sexaholics.
  4. To my understanding, outer darkness is for those who, after we are all judged (post-millennium) and after the resurrection of the unjust, ultimately deny Christ and put him to an open shame. So you pretty much have to side with satan and, in a sense, deny that the sun gives light to suffer for all eternity. BUT for those who die in their sins after called to repentance will suffer for a period which I believe will endure until the end of the millennium when the resurrection of the unjust takes place. Here are some good scriptures to look into: D&C 19:9-15 D&C 76:81-86 Hebrews 6: 4-6 2 Nephi 9:10-12
  5. So we've been talking about how Jesus Christ could have come here to redeem ALL of His creations, but what's satan's story in all of this? Is his influence centralized here? Or are there other devils for each world? And I believe Jesus Christ is the savior for all of His creations, but just think about this for a minute... Are we the only "generation" of spirit children that our Heavenly Father has created? Is Jesus Christ going to be the savior for proceeding generations of Heavenly Father's children? Or is Heavenly Father going to birth another "Firstborn"? I don't think he's ever going to stop his work of bringing to pass the eternal life of man after we've all gone through judgment. And I don't believe that Jesus Christ is the only savior throughout the universe and throughout all time, past and future. After all, The Lord said "there be Gods many and Lords many." Sorry, I kinda went everywhere on this post. Edit: Also, Jesus is going to be doing just what Heavenly Father is doing someday (If not already, I don't know). You know, having spirit children and choosing a redeemer out of His children and all that jazz. A lot of this isn't scriptural, but it makes sense imo. Please reply and share your thoughts. PEACE
  6. When Joseph Smith saw the Telestial Glory in vision he said it surpasses all understanding. So it's unimaginably better than what we have now (I say better because we're talking about glory here, it's not going to be unimaginably horrifying). Don't go ahead and shoot for it though, because in comparison to the Celestial, it's probably "hell".
  7. 2 LDS prophets to be killed? D&C 77:15 makes me think they will be practicing Judaism... Or will they be LDS prophets who are descendants of the tribe of Judah called to preach in Jerusalem? Anyone have any insight on this? The prophecy is not entirely clear to me given the scriptures that I know of. The only places in the scriptures that talk about this that I know of are: Revelation 11: 2-12 and D&C 77:15 Anyone want to fill me in on this?
  8. I would like to see a poor humble man become rich and still manage to stay truly humble as he was without all the money. Humility is absolutely necessary if you want to have a good relationship with God. Being poor is a blessing in disguise; it compels one to be more reliant and dependent on the Lord. Check out 2nd Corinthians 12:7-10. I'm not saying having a lot of money is generally a bad thing. Many people are just better off (in the eternal perspective) without it, because they might fire their God in place of their money. God gave his children temporary weaknesses and necessities so he would not ultimately lose them. Ether 12: 27 is a good one too.
