I believe that we should be concerned about people calling them selves Born Again Mormons who are secretly infiltrating the church in disguise sounds like "Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing" to me.

This IS disturbing news... and we should ALL be concerned of "Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing."

This is my take on this:tes·ti·mo·ny ( P ) Pronunciation Key (tst-mn) n. pl. tes·ti·mo·nies 1. a. A declaration by a witness under oath, as that given before a court or deliberative body. b. All such declarations, spoken or written, offered in a legal case or deliberative hearing. 2. Evidence in support of a fact or assertion; proof. 3. A public declaration regarding a religious experience. I believe the testimony that we are speaking of here is number 3. When a person gives a testimony they are coming from their own experience to have it be Their Testimony. Is it Truthful? I can only speak for myself when I say "yes". Do people ever claim to have a headache when they don't? Maybe... but they are not giving a testimony of their headache.

It CAN, given the lack of a proper foundation of that TRUTH. Sure that can happen anywhere, but should it happen in a place that is deemed safe?

True Peace... but my point in this question is how can we "logically" discuss religion with someone who believes in NO religion or No God? It is VERY POINTLESS. They who don't or won't believe for some reason will always cry out "FARCE" Those who believe will say "TRUTH". Surely, before that time the cows will have come home, feed, and put to bed. B)

Okay... We KNOW when we have a headache because we can FEEL it right? That is how we KNOW IT IS THERE.

I am not one who gets headaches often. When I do get a headache I take ======= and I am relieved from the pain I feel. Did I really what a headache and if so where is the PROOF?

AS8,From what I gather from you, you used to be a TBM. I am also aware of some of the fallacies you find in the LDS church. Can I ask what happened to make you totally turn away from the belief in God?

In this post there have been some who have made statements of an imaginary God, or if God even exists. If someone who you had respect for can up to you and asked you if you believed in God...What would you say? What is really in your hearts? Are you anti Mormon or are you anti deity? Are you comfortable with denying God?

Something I have learned. You can't change the way people are... you can only change the way in which you react or don't react to them.

Strawberry says: Things are on the uphill swing thanks anyway. I still stand by my belief that temporally our trials can hurt our faith and our testimonies. That is what has happened to me this past year. I did feel very lost, confused, and alone. I am happy to say that I am building back my testimony with a new strength backing me. I don't feel like I need to repent for my feelings any more then I expect an apology for having been given them. To me trials make me stronger for what I have yet to endure. I will be away from my office for the next few days. I am not avoiding this topic. :)

Maybe I am non repentant; therefore sinful. Being sinful I desreve these trials? Why do bad things happen to good people? What I have to say to this is~ Balderdash! or I disagree. I just can't be 100% perfect or repent for no reason just for the sake of repenting. Repentance should be heartfelt and not repetitious. I have yet to become so enlightened...

What about TRIALS? It isn't only the unworthy or the unrepentant who get trials. Trials can temporaly weaken our faith and testimony.

I can relate to what Peace is saying with her bishop. I currently have similar feelings in my situation. Curvette is right too in that I am being forced to dig deeper into my soul for the tools to get me where I need to go.

I spent most of my time with my mom the month before she passed away last March. She began telling me things that she could see. I believe that the veil was becoming very thin for her during those last weeks. My mom was not afraid of the things in which she saw... they gave her comfort. Since that time I have come to feel that the reason many people go into a coma before the die is because of the things that they are in tune with.

I didn't like Brigham City either. It was about a murder...

You have a point. This is something that the producers of these films should know. When I saw the movie Two Weeks Notice I was bothered by a comment that Sandra Bullock's Character said. She was talking to a friend and she was explaining why she didn't go to this benefit with her boss. She said that she didn't go because he also invited another woman from work to go. She then said something like this... "Why would I go with him...who take more then one woman to dinner at a time...except in Utah." No wonder the mormon church still has polygamy attached to it, it is allowed to be carelessly "Blibbed and Blubbed" (my own words) in the media. Not that it did any good, but I sent them an email stating my disapproval. When I saw the Singles Ward the humor was funny because I could relate to it living in UT.

I liked The Singles Ward. The R.M. was pretty funny too.

Some of the sites want you to join them as a member and pay for the information. I want to do this searching but I don't want to feel guilty for joining and then not doing it. I am also interested in the histories of my ancestors. Is there a place where those can be found as well?

Cal,I know this was meant for Peace, but this is a message is for all of the members of this board. This is a LDS message board. What gives you the right to come here and say these things about our church? What your posts says is that JS was not a prophet and the Book Of Mormon isn't true. Just for "good measure" you add that the "Spirit" testifies this to you??? Cal ~ WHAT ARE YOUR INTENTIONS HERE?
