  1. Yep, go slow. It can be hard to "retrain" your mind with new information that may go against what you previously thought. So just get used to it slowly and prayerfully. And agreed that you may want to seek some help with your depression. That's something you shouldn't go at alone.
  2. Whoo, that might be a bit much.
  3. My grandpa was as true believing as they come and drank coffee every morning. I think some "rules" are just "guidelines," but that's just me maybe.
  4. Maybe it's a bunch of new Hogwarts graduates and their owls coming to settle in your neighborhood and live amongst the Muggles in peace?
  5. I think teaching them to shun others, especially their own family members, is just as negative an influence.
  6. For the most part. But I struggle with depression so I have my not-so-happy days.
  7. Wow, I had just thought about her a few days ago and wondered how she was doing these days. Very cool. :)
  8. Yay! So awesome how it all worked out very well for you.
  9. Ooh, I forgot about Wall Drug! It is an apparently mega-overhyped tourist attraction in South Dakota, which really isn't that fun at all, so I have decided I want to see it, just to see for myself if it's fun or not. (No offense to anyone who may have gone there and enjoyed it. I just thought it was funny how much they hype it apparently lol.)
  10. Dominican Republic, to Yellowstone again, Italy, and on a nice romantic Sandals getaway. Those are the main ones.
  11. Yes, so very true. I sometimes, probably due to the OCD, tend to waaaaay overthink things. It can be hard to make decisions and truly discern what you feel about something if you delve TOO deeply into it. Because you'll be constantly second-guessing yourself, and constantly looking for new information that counters the information you already had. So yes, in that sense it's bad! I've gotten much better at pulling back from overthinking, at listening to when it feels right to me and trusting that that is the right choice. That is where learning to pray and trust in God comes in handy. As a rebellious "atheist" teen, that's when it was hard, because I relied only on my own self, and had much difficulty with decisions back then.
  12. Interesting...I have an obsession with learning, I'm always looking stuff up and asking questions and reading about things (religion-related or not lol)...I guess maybe that could be harmful if not kept in check. I have OCD though, so it's hard sometimes...but I don't think I do it at dangerous levels. I'm just a very curious person. :)
  13. My hubby was 35 when he finally met and married me. Sometimes, cliche as it sounds, it just takes time till you find the right one.
  14. I think what God says is always true, however, it may not always APPLY. It depends on the conditions of the time period. God doesn't make mistakes, but He makes changes as they are needed as conditions on Earth change.
  15. Is that on a t shirt somewhere, I want that one.
