I don't know if there are any resident gear heads on the forums. :)

My vote is the Evo. I bought one last weekend and I love it. And that's coming from a guy who has used 4 different Blackberries over the course of the last 7 years.

"The lord doesn't require me to go on a mission"
CopenKagan replied to kiadalin's topic in Advice Board
I didn't read through everything so I may repeat what someone has already said, so please pardon me. I didn't go on a mission, so I don't want to sound biased. Although I have been through the temple and I am a worthy person. Personally, I think that it is a personal choice for every person to go. There are plenty of people that I think go because they are pressured into it. Then they go out and serve half-heartily (or worse, get sent home early). If you don't feel like you should go after prayer, then I don't think you should go. There are a host of other reasons, but I think that's the main one. -
1. What is your favorite color? I like lots of colors, as long as they mix well. 2. Where were you born? Salt Lake City, UT 3. Did you serve a mission and if so where? No. 4. Married or single? Married. 5. What is your favorite food? Steak or ribs. 6. What is your favorite movie? So many to choose from... 7. Who is your favorite band? Again, so many to choose from... 8. Do you have children? No. 9. Who is your favorite author? I don't read much except for text books. 10. What is your hobby? Cars, photography, computers, video games to an extent, scale models (cars). 11. What is your idea of the perfect vacation? Camping by a long shot. 12. What is your favorite city? I'm not sure I have one. I like going to Logan in the summers for the day because it's just a nice place to visit. 13. What is your favorite sports team? Titans 14. What kind of car do you drive? 2000 Mustang GT 15. What was the first car you owned? 1984 Ford Thunderbird 16. What calling do you hold in church? Elders Quorum Secretary 17. If you could travel anywhere in the world that you have not been to before, where would it be? Probably Alaska in the summer. 18. What is your favorite tv show? I don't watch much television, but probably The Simpsons. 19. What is your current favorite restaurant? Ruby River, although it's a rare occasion. 20. What event in your life gave you the biggest rush? Last summer I fell about 25 feet off a cliff, about half way down there was a small ledge and my face hit it. I walked away with cuts and bruises. It was a rush, but it wasn't fun at all.

I don't think it's in our immediate future, but I do think that he will return in my lifetime. My guess would be 15-20 years. But who knows? Although at the same time, it may not be for much longer than that. It talks about in my wife's patriarchal blessing on how she will be bless with more than enough temporal goods. I don't see us being rich any time soon. haha

I could be WAY off base here because I feel I have limited knowledge of The Church. I think that if your biological parents wind up in the Celestial Kingdom, you will have the opportunity to meet them and get to know them. Although I think that your sealed father will still have precedence as your father.

I know exactly where you are coming from. I am divorced and didn't serve a mission, I have gotten that treatment from so many members. My brother came home early from his mission because he had clinical depression and would have anxiety attacks and lock himself in the bathroom, sometimes for hours because he couldn't compose himself. We both have had our time in which we felt like we weren't good enough for the members of our respective wards. We both fell inactive because we didn't feel welcome and that we weren't good enough. What I'm trying to say is don't let others bring you down because they feel like they have the authority to cast you out because you are different than them or that you have made mistakes (that's what the Atonement is for ). Nobody is perfect. Try to focus on people that try to embrace you in the ward. Don't focus on the people that shun you. There is a reason you are there, trust me. When my brother came home and was cast out by the ward members, they didn't realize that the reason he was home is because 1 week to the day that he came home, my dad passed away. You may not know the reason you are being subjected to these hard times, but you will find out why you are there. Stay strong!

You would have to find some sort of YouTube video downloader online, create your new account and reupload them. I don't think you can change your username or transfer videos from account to account.

Personally, it sounds like you have a good place working for your M.D. if you decide to go back. But you need to ask yourself some questions first before you decide to make the change: Can I afford to live on the salary they are willing to give me? Will I be happy here in 6 months? A year? Longer? Will I be able to achieve my goal of being active in the church again? I'm sure there are more, and you need to make the final call.

I can see why they put him on that list. But I don't think that makes it right. I agree with you, the media shouldn't glamorize someone who has devoted their life to crime.

Bravo. That was awesome.

I hate to bump an old thread, but there was a bit of information that I thought was interesting. I watched a documentary talking about the Earth's underground. They talked about how as you dig deeper, it gets hotter and hotter and how there are tons of species of microscopic organisms living down there. Anyway, to the point. Scientists now believe that there may be more water under the surface of the Earth than there is above it. Kind of makes you think about Noah's time. If that belief is true, there would be more than enough water to submerge the Earth.

You hit the nail on the head. So many times will my wife say, "It's just the puppy in her, she will get over it." I've owned enough dogs in my life to know that this is not the case.Train them early to prevent them from developing habits that you will need to break them from later on down the road.

Congrats on the new puppy, my wife and I have a 5 month old beagle. She is a nightmare sometimes, but she is really a sweet, loving dog. My biggest piece of advice is to not let her fall into any bad habits. When we first got our puppy, my wife had a glass of water and she helped herself to sticking her head into the glass and getting a drink. We thought it was hilarious at the time, but it turned into a problem real quick. She's pretty much broken of it now, but it wasn't a good idea for us to let her to begin with. Good luck! Just use patience with him, trust me, you're going to need it. :)

I do have my Curve still. It's locked to T-Mobile, but you can have it unlocked if you'd like. I would only give it a 4/10 cosmetically, but it works great. It's the one that has wi-fi built in. I'd let it go for like $30.

I recently bought a BB Storm, unlocked it to T-Mobile and installed the newest 5.0.0.328 software on it. I have been a BB person since I bought my first one back in 2004 (7100t, Pearl, Curve and now Storm). I have liked all of the ones that I have had in the past, but this one blows them all away as far as multimedia goes. I also really like the Bold, but I couldn't pass up the deal on the Storm. So either the Bold or the Storm are my suggestions. Not to mention that they are awesome for email (if that matters to you).

It was actually a nickname that I had in high school. It doesn't really have a bearing on anything, I just thought that it was clever.

Hello all, my name is Kagan. I found this forum on Google and thought that it would be a good place for me to visit and post on. I have been LDS my whole life, although some times a little less active than others. My wife and I were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in September of 2008. If there is anything else you would like to know, please don't hesitate to ask.
