  1. Yes, in fact the sister missionaries come bother my wife at home during the day when they are not serving at Liberty Jail. Every time they rotate out we have to explain that my wife is a WORK-at-home mom not a stay-at-home mom and they are interrupting her work. I know they are serving, and I have even asked our ward mission leader to put us on a do not bother list. They have called her and asked her to go with them with no notice and get upset that she cannot just stop what she is doing to go with them

  2. I was surprised to learn that the KC, MO Temple is just being constructed now, and is the first Temple to be built near N.W. Missouri. This area is so sacred in LDS history. I wonder why a Temple has not been built in this area before now??? Is that area still kind of anti-Mormon?

    My blog: Adam-ondi-Ahman

It is 6 miles from my house, probably 4 from the city limits. Very close. Yes there are still a lot of people that don't like us here. I am told that the church across the hwy from here (aka the Great and Spacious Building) actively preach against us. Hearsay since I have never been there to witness it.

  3. Yesterday at work.

    Lady caller:

I got an email from ----bank saying I was locked out of online access to my checking account. It asked my to put in my debit card number and PIN number to restore it.

Me(in credit card dept, not checking account dept): did you click on it?

Lady: Yes, but when I pit in my numbers, nothing happens.

Me:(incredulously) you put in your atm card number AND you PIN number?

Lady: Yes, so when it didn't work I called the number in the email.

    Me: What happened?

Lady: They asked me for my social security number, so I got suspicious and hung up

Me: Hold please while I connect you to a bank rep (to myself:and they will tell you if your money is gone)

  4. Pam, I do get real ones in my email, and for those there is always a notification on my FB page for it. But I also get ones saying "nikki" or "jennifer" sent you a message, when I have no FB messages and don't know anyone named nikki or jennifer. My point is that yes you may get real ones, but don't click links in emails from someone you don't know.

I also get emails from the FBI, Paypal, Western Union, Nigeria, the australian lotto and from banks I don't have saying my acct is locked and "click here" to update my info.

I am NOT that stupid. I cannot tell you how many times a day I get calls at work saying " I got an email about my account" to which I often have to reply " WE did not send you an email" then "Oh, but it looks real and says it's from _____ and has the logo on it"

  5. Bini, I would not recommend you click on links in emails if you do not know who they are from. Just because they "SAY" they are from FB doesn't mean they are. If you have a FB friend request, it will show on FB. I highly suggest you run any and all spyware/antivirus programs you have.
