My wife is a writer. We started a publishing company. We have published her first 2 books, and 1 book from someone else. Her website gets about 10,000 hits per month now. And she has about 900 follwers in Twitter.We sell about 2 books a week. We do have them listed on Amazon, but prefer to sell direct from our website. Lately tho she has started making some good money converting other authors files into different e-pub formats, like for Smashwords and others. All 3 books we sell are available in print and assorted e-book formats for download. She has inadvertantly found herself at the forefront of e-book publishing, which is a good thing.

I use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse at home and 19" monitor, so I only use the regular keyboard if I am watching tv during a Woot-off. Then I take the netbook to the couch, since I don't really need the keyboard much for that. Obviously that is not a good solution for traveling, tho we do take the mouse with my wife's laptop when traveling.

When you have a troublesome file that you cannot delete because it says it's locked by another program or other such nonsense, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware has a tool to delete them. Just make sure you really want to delete it.

way back when I was a manager for Circle K in calif, I had an employee who was like that. annoyed the heck out of me, but it was just her bubbly personality. I too am annoyed when someone calls me Mike after I have just identified myself as Michael. I give my name when I answer calls at work. I answer about 150 calls in a 10 hour shift. I cannot tell you how many times someone says "did you say your name was Mike?". I soooo want to say "no I said it was Michael".

PajamasMedia rejected advertising my wife's book, because they considered it "too racy". I wonder if they would reject the 2nd. It's not near as racy as the first, but it's by no means tame.

we have a fake one. i prefer real, but the person who does the decorating gets to pick. i don't want to decorate so......

When I lived in Fresno, I was the only one in my apartment that was not Hmong. I guess you could say I was the non-Hmong among the Hmong. :) I was not active at the time, but it would not surprise me if there was a Hmong branch/ward in Fresno.
