I really enjoy some of his stories, but I think in many ways Lovecraft has become this icon who is more famous than his stories. He was scary and racist and genre-defining. He's what you read if you're a literature snob wanting to look like a literature snob.

I think the kid situation has been tackled, but what about the church attendance? Isn't that a bad sign in itself?

I see Mormon as a nickname. And to me able to be given to all sorts of Mormonish religions. So it might be hypocritical, if that's what you meant.

I'm kind of the view that a swimsuit is a swimsuit is a swimsuit. I say where whatever you feel is comfortable, though I think a tankini would be most appropriate.

Okay, this is kind of the reason I'm here at the board because we recently had a Scout meeting in my ward where the subject of how pricey it is came up. I know the Church pays for it all, but does anyone have any tips for staying within a reasonable budget?

The above strikes me as too extreme a possibility to really happen quickly. This could happen at a local level, but it would take awhile and no other option for it to affect the entire country.
