That's exactly what I want. You are talking about Kindle, or Kindle Touch. Not Kindle Fire. Right? How much did everything you added cost? Thanks Brother Ray
-
Avoid Foolish Questions, if you are searching for "The" answer. For that you would pray, or wait for such time as the Lord reveals it. I think it's okay if you just want peoples opinions. Brother Ray.

Guess I'll go ahead and get the Touch. I'm 65 now, and ease of use may become a big factor as the years go by:) I can just keep on carrying "Teach my Gospel", and add it to Kindle if,or when it comes available. I've been carrying scriptures to Church for so long, I would probably feel naked without at least one book. Thanks again, and thanks for patiently reading all my e-mails,when one should have been sufficient. Brother Ray.

Me again. I'm always doing this. I will read an E-mail, reply, and read it again. Then realizing that I should have read it twice before I replied. The Fire is out of my price range. Everything that you gave me the link to, can be loaded onto the Touch. Right? Then I could probably get "Teach my Gospel from another source. Thanks again. I know they wont be free, if I don't get the Fire. But. All those book for under $10.00 looks like a good deal to me.
-
So I need to decide what is the best deal. Get the $79 Kindle, and pay for the books I load onto it. Or. Get the Kindle Touch, and get the scripture programs for free. There's a lot I would like to put on my Kindle. Besides the standard works. Like All the "Teachings of the President's" So I'm guessing Touch would be the best way to go. Wait I've been saying Touch. Is it Fire I'm talking about? I want one that, if it's possible, I can get "Teach my Gospel on it. Which would that be? Thanks for all the good info you sent. Brother Ray

Has anybody checked out Shawn's Post on Dinosaurs over at Genera Discussion. I think he raises some good questions. Brother Ray

My Scriptures and the various other books, Teach My Gospel etc. seem to get heavier each Sunday. I'm Thinking of getting electronic scriptures. ( Is that the correct term?) One of the devices you can use is a Kindle. Right? They have the bottom of the line Kindle on Amazon for $79.00 PT/S&H. Is that a decent price, and will it work with the scriptures you can buy from LDS.org? Thanks Brother Ray

You do know that the Priesthood is no longer denied to Blacks. Don't you? Brother Ray

Just so you know. The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-Day Saints, do not believe in predestination. Brother Ray

7000 years does have a familiar ring. I guess I took it to mean that's how old the earth is. brother Ray.

I wonder why I thought it did? Oh well just one more thing to show me that my memory is fading fast. Thanks Brother Ray;)

Does the church teach (believe) that Dinosaurs walked the earth? Don't scientist, that say that Dinosaurs walked the earth, claim that the earth is older then the church teaches? Thanks Brother Ray

Our continuing relationship with Heavenly Father.
circusboy01 replied to circusboy01's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
So as we gain in glory.Jesus and Heavenly Father will also gain in glory. I'm guessing Jesus will always be one step ahead of us, and Heavenly Father will always be two steps ahead. So, I guess it could be possible that we, not only, have Heavenly Grandparents, we may also have Heavenly Great, or Great,Great Grandparents. I have another thought. But I don't want to hijack my own thread, so I'll start a new one. Brother Ray -
Our continuing relationship with Heavenly Father.
circusboy01 replied to circusboy01's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
That goes along with my thinking. Just so everybody will know. i realize that when we use the word god it is always spelled with a small "g" unless you are talking about Heavenly Father. I choose to use the capital G when talking about what we may become. Because I believe we will be Gods and not gods. -
Has anybody else ever wondered about this? If we stay true to the Gospel, and eventually become Gods. Will Heavenly Father, still, be our Heavenly Father, or will be equal to Him? If He continues to be our Heavenly Father, does He have a Heavenly Father? Here is my basis for asking. " AS man is God once was" "As God is man may become. If this subject has come up before, can someone show me old posts. Brother Ray

I thought only our church was told to stay away from alcohol. Nice to know that your denomination uses the same wisdom Brother Ray
-
Maybe it means drinks that are TOO hot. I remember my mom used to drink coffee so hot that she could barely take small sips. Brother Ray

Not trying to hijack the thread. But I'd really like to know what kind of soft, or hardware I need to be able to draw on screen. Thanks Brother Ray

I know that yes is the correct answer to the poll. No is just my personal opinion. Way back in 1967 when I was first baptized, it seems like cola drinks were differently against the word of wisdom. But, I could be remembering wrong. Now the church suggests that we don't drink them, or advises against them. Not sure of the proper wording. I also remember the years supply of food and water being two years. Not just one. But, again, I could be remembering wrong. After all I was away from the church for 30 years. Brother Ray.

Caring for Temple Ceremonial Clothing
circusboy01 replied to circusboy01's topic in General Discussion
Hopefully, after I get my Temple Recommend renewed, I'll be going to the temple too much to put my Robes out in the garage. Thanks for the tip about using a sheet. I never would have thought of that. Brother Ray -

I think I'll try that. I've heard of putting dryer sheets in dresser drawers. I've no idea what essential oil is. ;-) -
Caring for Temple Ceremonial Clothing

Thank you very much. Got my Garments in 1999 this will be the first time I have washed them. -
Can someone please tell me the proper way to clean my Temple Garments? I can just use the washing machine for the pants and shirt. But what about the sash apron and robe? I have a pleated robe. Will the pleats come out straight if I use the washing machine? Can I use the dryer? What setting? I have no clothe line. Would it be okay to drape it over the shower curtain rod to dry? Can I take it to the cleaners? Or, do I have to keep it from their sight? Thanks Brother Ray

I'm going to make my point one more time, then I'll shut up on the subject. We can discuss the subject until doomsday. But, it's all just speculation, as we have not been told, from the prophets, or from the scriptures exactly what will happen. We just know that,if we are worthy, a mate will be provided for us. Whether we are allowed to choose our mate, or one is chosen for us, does not matter. It will be a part of Heavenly Fathers plan, and we will be eternally happy with our mate. No matter how we come together.
