  1. Matthew 5:43-48 Confounding understanding, there are evil men that God allows, just as He allows righteous men. I've witnessed it personally; although I have seen how great their fall is, as well.
  2. Hahahah! I see laugh stats, but I can't find the laugh button...
  3. I agree that there is likely a certain distinction between one and the other. My wife has seizures, has had them since she fell from the lip of a pickup truck's bed railing and suffered a depression skull fracture. She had a long-term EEG, while she was pregnant with my youngest daughter. The epitologist that administered it, he was of the admission how little science knows about brain function or even consciousness. However, I can't say definitively by what state or level of consciousness or subconsciousness our Father speaks to us, in absolution. In that regard, it simply isn't fathomable, at least to myself, either way. I am aware of certain beliefs of the separation of self, such as the idea of a lower, middle, and higher self; even that there are beliefs that subconsciousness is part of that line of thinking. In any such way, I couldn't say; I would be afraid to play.
  4. If we gain our testimony by our own personal relationship with the Father, how great that testimony is. If by other means, yet lacking that personal relationship; we find ourselves with much to be desired. So much more unshakeable is that which is through His embrace.
  5. The suggestion isn't that the output of faithful function is endowment of keys. That His truth can be give by one to another, it is an output of the function of our servitude, accepting His input. Those of a worthy faith receive His truths as input and outputs them the same; uncorrupted. By that is how we are even receptive to His Word, for when it is purposed by the Godhead, even when one truth or another was yet revealed. I've heard a lot of talk about keys and authority lately. Truth be told, there is but one full Authority on this matter, the Head of the Church, who is our Savior; the only begotten Son who is in whole agreement with the Father, and the Father who is in whole agreement with the Son. Through the structure of the Priesthood, the callings it pertains to and effectuates, these keys are leased to those in myriad leadership roles, male and female; in the position of which the Church has need of their utility. These leases are binding contracts, of which no man or woman is signed to under duress. If there is a falling away, this lease is broken, before the Father, His Son, the Spirit, and not excluding the Host--no matter what man takes offense. During states of apostasy, these keys are leased to no man, for they are not of this world, rather of this Kingdom come, with no want or need from the former, when it does. Neither is this lease permanent for the majority of callings, in the mortal; with the expiration of term for callings thereof, they must be relinquished to who the Body finds in agreement of, as predecessor [when one is necessitated]. There are some that have come to believe that if you are a lessee only by washing and anointment, a woman, or a man unknown to men of Priesthood conferment, that this individual must be lacking His entitlement, less worthy or less prepared than the elect of men, to be benefactors or deliverers of ordinances proceeding from the Father. Truly, at the feast, when one brother or sister stands next to their peers, while the least kneels to the King, not with fear or trembling, rather by decree of Law: those least before Him will be asked to stand free, while defiant beasts are chained and sent away: sieved only later to be measured in refinement. Lacking the latter confinement, the greatest key, that beholden to a missionary, it is duplicated and deeded over to those faithful servants--no tax needed, no burden or wear. Wickedness tries to proclaim itself in possession of myriad keys, yet are party to false imbalances; recklessly fane, then proudly profane; taken to that which is vile and defiled. Egregiously imbalanced, so have some become, that they send many away, to lead the worthy stock astray in flocks, yes, even in these Days. Erroneously, such men interchange greatly differing weights and measures that are mad with self-righteousness, they could never share heavenly treasure. Rendered to drink, under a new moon, oblivious of the lengthy dark and stormy weather overcast, the Father sends His Son riding on the lightest feathers, where He finds the cleverly deceptive betaking sacred rites and hiding from Light. Altogether, this does not speak of any number in attendance. However, let it be known to all that my Father, who took me up by Spirit, who now sends me before many, even as a man that struggles with a nicotine addiction, He speaks, "Turn from crookedness, each your own, lest you mistake my Charity for a weakness." As I believe in His Son, do so likewise. Let us repent from our sins and sin no more. Then, may we be in quick service to our brothers and sisters, our fathers and our mothers, and always be of equitable reproof and praise. I encourage those that read this to strengthen your testimony, edify the Christ with one another, testify to those seeking answers, read Scriptures meaningfully, and attend His Church. And if and when worthy [i yet stand as the latter], go to His Temple, and in all things pertinent, perform the inward and outward ordinances of the gospel. Go, tell it on the mountaintops; say it to all that would hear! Among you are those given the powers to seal your name in the heavens or to cast it in closure into the depths of the pit. The Son's words to me, for a time were few, "Love can overcome Hate." Since last week, from my waking moments, to after I have laid my head down at night to sleep, He calls to me, "It is the time to go out and speak of my everlasting gospel. Proclaim the Word of our Father, as it is given to you. Speak of these things I have spoken to you. Do so, before my way." I say these things to you, in the name of His Son, Jesus, the Christ, so all may be in agreement [Amen]. Love, T.J. Wood P.S. Never hurts to read the scriptures, to find time, or to make it. When I was lifted by the Spirit, to His dwelling place (five years ago this coming Father's Day), several things were admonished/commanded of me: change my path, study Scripture, attend Church, hold the experience in reverence, and to never reveal from it that which He gave in confidence, that which is heavenly. Oh how difficult it was, to lay down my pride, to return to His fellowship. I found it easiest to mute my experience, until He said it is time. I am still prohibited from speaking of the entirety thereof. Even as I struggle with a nicotine addiction, I say with surety, "Oh how wonderful is He! Our Redeemer lives!" 6. It is by our acceptance of lies that truths get willfully ignored. A man will say to himself, "For what I do not understand, that is all for naught." Making his heart hardened and imposing it on others--he hates not only his brother, but worse, the Father of our fathers. Speaking boldly, higher truths cannot be known by reading alone. Good and evil both read the same books--it is their interpretations therein that differs. Seeking signs and noticing them are not one in the same. Instead of that pursuit, let us ask of God that we might become more faithful, that we may know Him and what truth is, so we may walk upon the straight path. Any fellowship that doesn't believe their own doctrines, they hold to false doctrines and follow false teachings. For any fellowship, to be held in reverence, it is a fellowship that holds truthful doctrine. All truthful doctrines help one be prepared for the Hour of Judgment. Let us be each others' keepers. 8. Matthew 11:25-30 Doctrine and Covenants 1:7-9 Doctrine and Covenants 45:15-75 Doctrine and Covenants 76:5-10 Articles of Faith 1:9 Truths about the Spirit, and given through the Spirit are certainly not fully revealed to the faithful, in this day. Some precede death and resurrection. Others are preceding and through His Coming. With it--He will reveal many things locked away. Where we were once born of intelligence and in spirit; things revealed in the flesh, for what are His purposes, surely they aren't only burdens to bear. His yoke is easy and His burdens are light.
  9. Don't worry, it is by the Spirit, that those seeking understanding are offered it: Doctrine and Covenants 132:1-47 Verse 18 specifically speaks of this matter. There are more scriptures; this is just a hurried reply. Love, Brother Wood
  10. Fitting pieces of a large puzzle can be quite perplexing. It is a huge letdown, after starting it with great anticipation, only to realize your family left most of the pieces far away. It's not like you can make new pieces and without the picture and cutting template of it. Although not necessarily the most correct understanding, as I explained it, it is a simile, rather than facsimile, to technical concepts that somewhat mimic what it is like, to hear the Spirit. Another way to describe the noise floor might be 'mutual coherence'. I'm no scientist, it was simply a prompting to give it as such, in that moment. We can be driven to madness, if we desire to understand such things the way they are in heaven, this is God's right only, to give and to take away. To try is like drinking poison. I am with you, that it isn't for our Atonement, that the mysteries of God be known. When purposes, He makes them known. As they are, even to teach of them is of no use, out of place of His intentions. You are correct, that faith lacking understanding is by and large the way we enter into our destinations. There is one issue with accepting faith alone, which for many can go without saying, yet is important enough for drumming its emphasis, as it is beyond simply saying that we are faithful--faith without works is dead. Hoping to be privileged to the mysteries of God, without His ordaining it is short-sighted. It is also a reason many fall away, even with such great promises, for those enduring to the end. If you are thankful for what you have already received, so will you be charitable with it. Even discourses of the nature found on this forum, they are one part of His Works, done so righteously: an exercise our faith. Isaiah 28:1-29 James 2:1-26 Love, T.J. Wood
  11. Seminarysnoozer, John 20:11-23 You are correct, that if God's physical presence were before the earth, it would be obliterated in His presence. Although hidden away, most of what is taught about the Spirit is correct, albeit an incomplete knowledge, for this knowledge is heavenly. What proceeds from the Spirit also proceeds from His Son, even the Father Himself. There are further truths, to be known by the faithful, but their time is not yet present. :) :) :) Love, T.J. Wood
  12. Could be my ADD mixing with yours...
  13. My reference to Elihu's statement on God speaking to men by way of dreaming is based on a certainty, for I have been so blessed and had also asked for permission of it, from our Father, before I responded. Even though it is that, "From the mud man came, to it he will return;" in no way does that mean our Father is limited in His means of communications, by way we expect them. To be faithful so as to have discernment between hallucinations and fanciful dreams from purposed dreams and visions is to be validated in sanity. Noah certainly was hesitant of hearing the world would be submerged, when the flood was foretold; why shouldn't he have been? Yet, it was known to the Father, that as a faithful servant, he would walk in the way of righteousness. The importance of God's communication with us isn't always for purposes of a physical manifestation. What limitation should He have, if even our bodies are a Temple; in which our spirit dwells? And by what merit should one reconcile modern day understanding with our Creator's ancient undertaking? I say, for surety, modern understanding, by itself, it has only a partial record with understanding our Father. Such things are here today, gone tomorrow; yet the Father remains. Dreams that are solely a function of ordinary processes, as believable as they may be, are not made manifest esse quam videri, except in delusion. The Holy Ghost however, He will have manifest in whichever way pleases Him or speaks to us as He desires. To recognize what is and is not of this world is to be blessed by Him.
  14. To do so would be to insult all that is unwavering skepticism. Farewell, brother phil. Love, T.J. Wood "We measure things by what we are. To the maggots in the cheese, the cheese is the universe. To the worms in the corpse, the corpse is the cosmos. How then can we be so ****-sure about our world? Just because of our telescopes, our microscopes, and the splitting of the atom? Nope! "Science is but an organized system of ignorance. There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy! What do we know of the Beyond? Do we know what's behind the Beyond? "I'm afraid some of us hardly know what is beyond the Behind. "Creatures of twilight and delusion, we drift toward our unknown ends. And that is why I feel the best thing is not to be born. "But who is as lucky as that? To whom does it happen? Not to one out of millions and millions of people!"- Theodore Gottlieb A.K.A. Brother Theodore
  15. You would do well to understand cognitive biases more in-depth. Even better would be to re-read some things you were told here, research, and re-read. Some things given prior, won't be given more. However, unlike the spoken word; you have the benefit of scrutinizing in detail, rather than finding yourself with a past that dictated the future, yet was not able to yield. If I could tell you the future, do you think you could stop it? Love, T.J. Wood
  16. Argumentum ad ignoratium is what you speak of. However, faith transcending simple belief is not cyclically unverifiable, it is acyclically verifiable. In case of the exercise of faith, you introduce a feedback loop, you let it perform work, to be like energy. Without feedback, your belief recursively loops into perpetuity, until it crashes. God's verification is through the resonation, His frequency, which one must be attuned to. If you live above the noise floor, chaos dictates that which drives you. If you go below it, to process it, you find that what first seemed chaotic or random is a great order of magnitude and well structured. Being at a higher energy condition, many of His mysteries are hidden away. We are limited in dimension, as man and mankind. Even though science hasn't fully identified the make-up of matter in space, noticed by observation; it doesn't mean research is going to cease trying to understand it more determinately.
  17. Some things you may not find simply with one part of yourself or another. Rather, it is with integrity of self that our souls, even our whole beings may come to the light. We must know ourselves well, to know what it is we truly seek or hide, to or from. No apologies necessary, as it isn't for contest that such discourse is evident and necessary. Only for progression out of cyclic tendencies do I lament, not wholly condemning, but insight in what it is for, if we always lean on man's understanding, yet never take the leap to know His own. So let me extend my apologies for revealing such a heavy burden, even being hopeful of you finding answers that you know of, deep within. You aren't judged, especially not here and now. What a place, if it were! That is to say, of all that is good, you may know some truths in logic, but there is so much more than man could answer, that must be asked of from God. Our complete spirituality, no matter what anyone will tell you--it is never found with senses alone, but by faith also or sometimes even alone. One's faith is also like a muscle. Wherewith, when exercised, it grows in strength and endurance. Without, left to rest, it atrophies or diminishes away. In simplified form, we can't ignore or mock everything, that if we were to do so; we are apathetic. Truths can be multi-faceted, but in absolution, when such things are fully revealed, there is no doubt within them. The greatest faith you can have is one that does not hear or see in fullness, but that by taking the time to ask God that His ways are opened to us. It's the fruit of soul searching, something none of us can offer to another with a full step-by-step procedure. The most we can do is to offer individual insight, even to provide what we hold in faith. Somewhere along the way, even while we lack faith, the Son's embrace can be found. All in faith at some point stood at the same point, in very similar shoes, seeking answers. The highest truth is that in all things, God does provide a way, where you have the will to find it. Even those with differences of belief, concerning the gospel, they too are Saved, if God so chooses. Only those willfully ignorant, those that are apathetic, even being laid precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line--continually seeking a sign, that is the event horizon I spoke of.
  18. Some lack of faith is not by a need for statements of A=A=true. Some desire is for statements of A=A=false. This is the Spirit's Truth, which speaks, when the paradoxical present temptation. Wantonness for what is pleasing to yourself is that which supersedes any understanding never found in whole through man's logic; which is steeped in bias. It is a desire to find contradiction in the faithful that meets with another contradiction: faithlessness. It is not a step of faith that these things are known--no, they are a leap of faith. Out of covetousness, some would seek a sign. For which, they cannot receive, being confused not by what is overly difficult, rather by their contention. I will to only pray for you and to speak on what is ultimately important, concerning your questions: Until you ask of God, in the name of the Son, loosing your bindings to a circular argument that did not find it's origins in this forum; you may not find that which is of the Spirit. There isn't simply a hop over the fence, in this kingdom many would demand entrance to, in which doing so makes one a stranger within. By the order of things, one must first truly seek and knock, so that the Son will answer. No one may do this for anybody, nor if they were to tell secrets would such be of understanding. For all vain pursuits, it is for naught. These things cannot be bought. If wrought by the Son personally; what man rejecting refinement would have the presence to know? Listening to the faithful, concerning the things one holds strict convictions against is not for good purpose; yet it has been given here freely, where elsewhere it was met with exile. Having done so, facetiously, it is at a great price that those in belief are being tempted to stray. Learning to know the Spirit of Truth isn't finding relative truths. The Light of Christ is the faithful's testimony; to be a City on a Hill. By way, the Light of the World, in absolute truth. Saying that any spirit possessing some truths can be the same as the Holy Ghost is nearing an event horizon, a point of no return, wherewith one's die becomes cast, their fate sealed to spiritual death. My Father lacks no provision for those who evenly do not find themselves faithful in this mortal. Rather, it is by that which is in need of immortal, that it is so, yet even at greater cost of attainment. Every purpose as it has been revealed is not for meant for a mockery. Slow to anger, yet one in their apathy does draw His wrath. For what point is willful ignorance not blasphemous? Undoubtedly, not all spirits are the same; that believers are to test them. What spirit is it that would seek of man into perpetuity, instead of eventually just asking God what is Truth? Eternal glory is given not to those beholden to wicked thoughts, no matter how sweet their words on the surface my be. In finality, those so humble are recipients thereof, that would achieve perfection, to be given powers many desire use of to destroy. For there are no Gods, in the names you refer to, only His Children, some finding perfection; there is only one true God, who is my Father, your Father, who is to all the Father, even those given His power of life, to be one with Him, yet not preceding His Order--He is the Creator of all that is, was, and is to be. Love, T.J. Wood
  19. The Church's beginnings are with the Head of the Body, which is our Savior. Even if those in attendance including all members and those in callings of authority were to disregard truthful teachings to hush murmurings; it wouldn't change their truths. The Son of God is Authority of all Church doctrine, even when keys are held by those called. Properly understood, if all men were to be averse to women or women to men; all reproduction would be artificial and vain. Being well aware of how controversial this topic is, the following is not for offense. However, it is certain to be for some, so take note, before reading further, as this would be an appropriate stopping point if this applies to you, or if you are not an adult. It is a beauty to behold, to be one gender with the other, to make even a single one, from intertwined flesh. The natural course, the overwhelming affinity, is man towards the woman and vice versa--from the beginning of every spirit's walk. What has already been written, concerning this matter, it is for most part sufficiently spoken, however, I will speak plainly: Marriage is sacred. To fornicate outside of it, that is adultery; not exclusively restricted to homosexuality or heterosexuality, but inclusive of both. Those under its grasps, by either side, is to be found in delusion that selfish desires could be acceptable, by my Father, who is yours also. For what is taken from intercourse, however pleasurable to those in desire thereof, pleasure alone is not for what it is purposed. Two are to become as one, not simply in reference to a single act of bonding, but ultimately to procreation, even all the acts proceeding after it. With either orientation; neither can provide for that purpose, outside of a Holy marriage--that which is an eternal marriage, one which is under God. Even Temple marriages may be found in contempt, if their coupling lacks our Father's approval. Everyone builds up a family, no matter their orientation, out of what comes from a man, and becomes familiar in a woman. Two becoming one, without both being intertwined in unbridled desire, that is to lack a better half of His plan for those otherwise capable of conceiving naturally, with their partner in upbringing. It is an undue hardship on those little ones, to force upon them your choices that are of no requisite basis in the natural order. The mettle of a child is not the same as a parent's; no matter how much behavior modification is attempted. The dominant male can only sympathize with that for which he knows. The dominant female on the other hand, she is by and large found beside the man, gifted with a more empathetic stature. Nonetheless, both can be found less than forgiving, regarding those put into the middle of things they ought not be placed. A father and a mother are both intrinsically purposed, in each their own unique ways, both providing special instruction that benefits their offspring's survival of this world and inevitably the spiritual. Insomuch that a child is offensively robbed, when one, the other, or both are willingly and unnecessarily absent for the needs of the child. There are traits passed down, for each part of the cord; to deprive them of either knowledges therein is wholly offensive to that child. Some parts cannot be simply given by proxy; they are passed down the line, in physical and spiritual sight of the vine. Rejecting this design is forbidden. However, more importantly, there is great admiration deserved by those that do recognize their errs, so as to be repentant of them. As couples, we are to multiply and provide for all the needs of our children, to the best of our abilities; as mother and father, when both are alive, capable, and worthy [exclusions include abusers or rapists]--that is our Father in heaven's edict. Do not think that your desires are greater than that of the purposes intended of this life. However, even if adultery is forbidden, it no part warrants a spiritual death, murder, physical or verbal abuse, or unrighteous claims of dominion, in this division of your life, or the next . Even a murderer may be found recompensed with grace, which is most difficult. As for adultery, oh how much less is their cost, than for one that would recompense their acts or would take on another's sin, in the act of murder [absent blasphemy of the Spirit, which is always one's own]. Taking stock in what our foreordained purposes are, one must accept that an artificial companionship is unbecoming of those profess our Creator has a Grand Design. The design thereof was not made for great want of the self-indulgent. The greatest care is for replenishment, for mankind, and their offspring. In cases of assisted conception, it is found in exception to those in Holy marriage, that are incapable of doing so naturally. It is only within the parameters of this design, that we are nominally within the gospel of His Son. My words, proceeding from our Father, they are part of an epistle: turn from any wicked wantonness within, as He assembles the Host, which marches on and tramples the wicked. Love, T.J. Wood LDS.org - Ensign Article - Beware of Pride “The proud wish God would agree with them. They are not interested in changing their opinions to agree with God's.” - Ezra Taft Benson “We are sending you out as artists, scientists, teachers and philosophers. Will you never forget the theme of the lesson we are talking about, that you are but branches of a divine tree and that of yourself you can do nothing? All truths, whether called science or religion, or philosophy, come from a divine source.... You then, I plead with you, do not in your search for truth, allow yourselves to become severed from the 'vine.' In all your learning, measure it and test it by the white light of truth revealed to the prophet of God and you will never be led astray.” - Harold Bingham Lee Doctrine and Covenants 68:25-28 “I believe I am safe in saying that the most earnest desire of every true Latter-day Saint is that his children may grow up in the nurture and the admonition of the Gospel, keeping the commandments of God, so that they may be saved in His kingdom. It is simply absurd to imagine that if a child has the seed of falsehood and evil sown in its mind through life, you will all at once be able to sow in that mind one crop of truth and have it bring forth a harvest of truth. ... We would look upon a farmer as a natural born idiot who would call upon everybody who passed his farm to throw in a few seeds of weeds, to do this for a period of twenty-one years, and then expect he could sow a crop of grain and expect to get a good harvest. I may know the multiplication table, and my wife may also, but I cannot on that account expect my children to be born with a knowledge of the multiplication table in their heads. I may know that the Gospel is true, and my wife may know it; but I do not imagine for one moment that my children will be born with this knowledge. We receive a testimony of the Gospel by obeying the laws and ordinances thereof; and our children will receive that knowledge exactly the same way; and if we do not teach them, and they do not walk in the straight and narrow path that leads to eternal life, they will never receive this knowledge. I have heard people say that their children were born heirs to all the promises of the new and everlasting covenant, and that they would grow up in spite of themselves, with a knowledge of the Gospel. I want to say to you that this is not a true doctrine, and it is in direct opposition to the commandment of our Heavenly Father. We find that it is laid down to the Latter-day Saints, not as an entreaty, but as a law, that they should teach their children [the gospel].” - Heber Jeddy Grant
  20. Galatians 3:1-29 Our Great Potential - Ensign May 1977 - ensign Jeremiah 11:1-23 Doctrine and Covenants 131:1-3 Doctrine and Covenants 40:1-3 To some extent, this is correct. We all must understand, it isn't our past choices that hold us entitled to any position, before God. We may be sieved, rejecting our baptismal covenants, male or female. For men, the Priesthood covenants are even stricter. He decides, not us, what position that is. As unpleasant or harsh as it sounds; there is no nobility or greatness in wholeheartedly rejecting or holding levity against any of His commandments or any covenants He has with any of us. The gospels aren't only of grace [oh how great it is!], we are also held to our words and works, with Him. I am that I am, after Elohim, who is that was, is, and is to be. Love, T.J. 21. These, Our Little Ones - Liahona Dec. 2007 - liahona The Why of Priesthood Service - general-conference Hebrews 5:1-14 When the house Patriarch does not fulfill their duties, especially under the Priesthood--the needs of the household, even the Priesthood, cannot be ignored. No worthy Priesthood holder is in need of manipulation, to serve in their calling. Neither is it righteous, to coerce someone into doing something they are not willing or worthy to do expediently. LDS.org - Support Materials Chapter - Church Organization Doctrine and Covenants 20:1-84 More so, it is nothing, under any poster's authority, to supersede the order of His Church, which this matter must be dealt within, if the Patriarch is slothful in their duty or not forthcoming of their worthiness. It is an offense to the child, to delay the blessing he is not simply wanton of, but is prompted to, by the Spirit. The correct order begins with the Bishop, who in righteousness is given special discernment, over such matters. He is the authority, over these matters, as long as he is within his covenant. If he is not in accordance with the teachings of the gospel, we are so charged, to find the next authority, in order of the structure given through the Son of God [in only the most egregious circumstances does this ever occur]. 22. The Noble and Great Ones are many, but not all in this time. They are the faithful servants of the Father; those that willing go where they are sent. When He speaks through them, His Word is felt, even by those that would make a mockery of all that is Holy. You may know them, not by their outward appearances, or their sweet words. Rather, by the Spirit, they are made manifest, if they so choose to make themselves known unto you. In their words, not all will accept them, for they speak for the Father, and those that love lies do not accept Him, His Son, or His Truth. They ultimately are purposed, to prepare way, for the Day of the Lord. Love, T.J. Wood
  23. You may know the Truth, not necessarily always in the moment it is given, however by the sweet music that it plays. It is like a series of chords, played in unison, that to hear them, as they're intended, is to be at peace. It is to be in accord, with the Godhead, even with the Host of heaven. Its frequency resonates in unison with reality, that even throughout the expanse of time, that it has a pattern that is unmistakeable to those that may hear its ring. It is a feeling, it is a strength, it is a power; it is alive. Not a thing, or an object to be idolized; the Spirit is a being that sings so that you may bring your testimony, even your destiny. To know its sound it to cling to God. It is wisdom and understanding, it is counsel and might, it is the Spirit of knowledge and fear of the Father. Love, T.J. Wood
  24. Luke 4:1-37 Some will say, God must have let Satan have power over Yeshua, because it is written, "All these things will I give thee." However, there is a great misunderstanding. What isn't written, nor well understood is this temptation was requisite, for our Savior's worthiness, for our Atonement. That is, that prior to the temptation, through great faith and by that, God gifted this man unimaginable ability. Even so much, that Satan did not have to offer anything that this man did not already have. Yet, also not well understood is that by way of temptation, God left him for a time, to let his own faith stand as a testament, unto itself, with the Father's hand removed. In that there was not acceptance of the offer, who we now know as Jesus greatly pleased our Father in heaven, that he did not give to a temptation almost all men, even those considered to have great faith, would fall victim to. Job 1:1-22 Job 33:1-33 Job 38:1-41 Job 39:1-30 Job 40:1-24 Job 41:1-34 Job 42:1-17 Elihu knew the truth, that Understand, not many men can stand refinement, once put under the test, at the request of those we call the sons of God, and/or Satan. Yet, if one does so, not even Satan has power over the flesh, nor over the spirit, if it is the Father's Will. Satan opposes man, has no faith in the plan of salvation, nor in His Son. Even those that once walked with the Father, some have lost their faith. Yet, they are purposed, in their convictions, that they may see that the Father is above all, that in their time, they also may humble themselves, not that they will. The Creator of All Things has power over all the heaven, "Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine." It isn't Satan's power, that is the Truth. It is God's, that even Satan must petition on behalf of those faithful servants, that he may test their faith. To believe otherwise is to believe a lie, to be under a test of one's own faith; if not already under a signed warrant. John 12:23-50 Just as Job was tested, even so was our Savior. Afterwards, being taken again by the Spirit--it is no longer correct, to refer to him, except by Him, the He with surety was to fulfill the final test of His faith, when those forced to think signed an affidavit against Jesus, on the 'Mount of Evil Council'. What is carnal is the love of pleasures, to love your life of the world, which is to lose sight of your life eternal. Divers weights and divers measures. Ecclesiastes 3:1-22 Alma 32:1-43 I bear my testimony, that my Father does speak to all men, in dreams and visions, when the moment is preordained. Even for a prophet, to know it, isn't in that same moment. For all things there IS a reason. What greater faith is there, that a father is heard when what is taught is not yet seen? Do the wise question why it is forbidden to play with fire? Only the foolish do so, often to their dismay. One could say, correctly, that the greatest faith is one that has been tested. To believe on Him, without seeing, how greater is your reward in heaven! I say these things, in the name of Jesus, the Christ, Amen. Love, T.J. Wood
  25. Deuteronomy 6:1-25 When you dwell within, embracing righteousness: your house IS a blessed house. Do not invite the spirit of contention, but rebuke it, not by your own power, but ask it of our Father, His Son, and the Holy Ghost. Matthew 5:6 Love your neighbor, even if your enemy; pray for them, not simply for your own wants and desires. The Father already knows and seeks to provide; for you to pursue. Building Your Eternal Home - general-conference Contradictions within shake foundations, even so much as to eventually break them. When we cast aside, we find our houses of flesh, spirit, and beams as they should be: A house of prayer; a house of fasting; a house of faith; a house of learning; a house of glory--a house of God. Love, T.J. Wood “God does hear and answer prayers. I have never doubted that fact. From childhood, at my mother's knee where I first learned to pray; as a young man in my teens; as a missionary in foreign lands; as a father; as a Church leader; as a government official, I know without question that it is possible for men and women to reach out in humility and prayer and tap that Unseen Power; to have prayers answered. Man does not stand alone, or, at least, he need not stand alone. Prayer will open doors; prayer will remove barriers; prayer will ease pressures; prayer will give inner peace and comfort during times of strain and stress and difficult--Thank God for prayer.” - Ezra Taft Benson
