Mm, yes, that actually does make it more clear. I agree with you Toto. So it was for us, just not now, for our future. K, well I just don't see the church telling high school kids to go ahead and kiss if you really like them.

Piano foreva, 11 years in about a month.

Well, we're really focusing on Politics in AP American History right now, we pointed out who was who today. Turns out I'm a Republican all the way. I'll never be a Democrat.
-
I agree with you apple. I really think that kissing, just isn't all that important right now... I mean, the purpose is in and of itself to show to someone that you really like them, and honestly, I don't think that's meant for 17 and below. I believe when you are 18 and single dating, it may be appropriate, but it would definately depend on the situation. More than that, I do believe that it is a personal choice, though some peoples personal choices I wouldn't agree with, but that is definately up to them. And as a reply to <username>, yes, it was written for youth, youth meaning 18 and older. Why would they have articles on getting married and how to get married for youth around 16 and 17? No one is getting married that early. It was definately referring to 18 and above.

You should. Before you know it, you will be old enough to vote, and now is as good a time as any to start thinking about what you really believe in. If you wait until the day of your first vote to start worrying about politics, you will be entering the booth extremely unprepared. My 13 Y.O. daughter sometimes gets more upset about politics than I do, and she has 5 years before she can vote. You should have heard her yelling at John Kerry on the TV the other night when the debate was on, she was fuming about his comments. The only way I could ever see myself making a difference in politics, is if I was helping them campaign, and convincing other people to vote for them. Other than that, my single vote alone, just seems so... miniscule...

I'm sorry to hear that
-
haha, fine I'll quit griping about politics. You guys have fun debating B) There's not much I can really do about the nation at this moment (Hence I can't vote) so I don't really bother with politics all that much.

PD--come on now, come clean. Don't you think that if the tables had been turned, the Repubs would be doing the same thing? We need to stop vilifiying the other party for things both would likely be guilty of. Cal: Re the tu quoque argument, no, I don't think so. Democrats, as a general rule, are happier with government by litigation than Republicans are. They consistently oppose efforts to make voter fraud more difficult, saying that it would "intimidate" people to have to show identification when voting. I have read, but haven't verified, that a substantial majority of people in jail for vote fraud are Democrats. This wouldn't surprise me, given the party's history as the pioneer of machine politics -- Tammany Hall, the Chicago Daley machine, etc. It's true that there are some allegations of nasty business by Republicans, too. Apparently there was one voter-registration service that's been accused of discarding Democrat registrations. If it's true, people need to go to jail. I'm not going to justify that by saying "the other side does it, too." The DNC has a memo out specifically instructing its teams of lawyers to file complaints about election irregularities even if none are actually known. That kind of thing is a new low, and suggests to me that the DNC has no compunction about dragging the respect of the electoral process through the mud for a marginal advantage. My only hope is that Bush wins by a large margin, because there is going to be cheating and litigating on a massive scale if it's close. Great, here goes another political debate

I know! It's dumb, so many people hate them. I mean maybe just a couple of their songs are a little... language oriented we'll say, but that's it! and plus, edited version fixes all of that.

What does it matter if 90% of them wear long pants all the time anyways?
-
I grew up in a town that fits that description---there was no mayor, no city council, no police and everybody knew everybody. It was hell. Constant gossiping, your life was not your own because everyone knew everybody else's business and was anxious to spread it around. It was impossible to get a job as a teenager because the area was to unproductive to have even light industry really. I would gladly have paid taxes if I there was even I job where I could earn enough to pay them. I was always getting lectured by some self-rightous pompous guardian of morality about how I wasn't living up to community expectations. The weather and surroundings were great, but the social life was lousy---too few good looking chicks, and too many religious fanatics. That's why if I was to do something like that, I'd get married THEN go there. I'd bring my business there to make money. Not that any of this would ever happen *sigh* but ya know, your bursten my bubble of dreams!
-
Good idea I better be more careful!
-
Well, they're not like that anymore are they? But yeah, wouldn't it be nice don't you think to live in a community where you would know everyone, and the government doesn't bother them at all, like no taxes, no real use of money all that much either cause everyone just kind of supports each other. Just somewhere deep in Austria in a small village would be good.
-
Yeah, well I mean, there are definately some other categories around here that never seem to get used. I still think their should at least be a seasonal politics category, but oh well. It'll all be over soon enough... it'll all be over soon enough... *Keeps reciting it*

Lol, turns it up louder. Yeah, hard alternative is about my extent of loud bands. Hm... the louder the better? I agree I do like to listen to some things pretty loud like, Story of the Year, and Sum 41, but... there is a point where I think it gets too loud.
-
Am I the only person who is about to choke on all these politics?? Geesh, everyone should just forget about politics and go move to an Austrian small town where you know everyone in the village, and they basically support each other, never bothered by the government.

Blegh for Metal bands

Well, I'm Anthony, though I mostly go by Frank, I am currently 16, and working really really hard at school. Lol, I'm actually doing homework right now, but that's besides the point. I like all kinds of Alternative music, and like most people here, I hate rap and hip hop, and all that terrible stuff. As for my hobbies, I love talking to my friends, enjoy playing the piano, composing. I'm currently working on composing for SATB to see if I can get a little bit of LDS material out there, but with school and all right now, it's really hard to get done. Love to take the role of the Nice Guy flirt around school, but it's filled with problems. So... dunno that there's much else to write...
-
Actually, the funny thing is, I just barely read the New Era as I was doing homework a few hours ago. But actually, when they say that, I do believe that they are referring to people 18 or over, so I don't think it completely applies to me yet.

Oh I wish that wasn't the case, but it does seem we are all meant to have a thorn. That makes me think of the analogy that all of us, are like Roses. Created so beautifully, yet covered with thorns. A Rose wouldn't grow without the thorns, which also protect it. So you would say, how can our sins protect us? Well, by like what you said, they are reminders of what should not be done ever again. A rose without thorns, doesn't stand a chance in this world.

Hm, I've been looking through the posts of the General discussion board and was thinking that maybe the message board should have a Politics section posted so that General discussion doesn't become politics? What do you guys think?

Therefore, if the fire is never started, your safe all the way around. I've smothered my fire pit, and I won't be starting it up for a long time, at least until I have a controlled fire, and am the right age.

What??? How dare you speak bad about Avril!! lol, and well, TATU, ya can't not like their songs. I'm a techno person anyways so ya know. That's just how it goes. TATU aint too bad anyways compared to Sum 41, but that's why I've got a bunch of edited cds

C'mon people. Just use common sense. Just because "Jesus" didn't say it out right, or it's not clearly defined within the scriptures (Which is doubtful), think about it. Is adultery a good thing... hm... uh no? C'mon! I think most of us here are educated people and can determine the logistics of what right and wrong is on our own.
