It's true. I once went through the same thing last year, I was all sad when I broke up with my gf. But why should I have been sad? Being emotionally and physically beat up by her everyday? Made to feel like I'm nothing by her? I can't believe I was sad. And I'm sure it's probably not the same for your situation eh? But anyways, point is, no high school attatchement is exactly worth it. You'll find your highest highs, and lowest lows in a relationship, all in all, it is a distraction from school. Which is what should probably be focused on at the moment, I'd start maybe worrying about girls for college.

man, not that. Whoever came up with Molly Mormon and Peter Priesthood just needs to get it. Can't stand those terms. We shouldn't be comparing ourselves to the so called "Molly Mormon" or "Peter Priesthood". I think sometimes LDS people are too critical of others. The one thing I like about living around a lot of LDS people is the fact that it'll be easier to keep your standards straight whereas many of your friends share the same ones. I would think it would be harder around a school with like no LDS people to keep your standards strong.

i know that is really good advice, but I don't know my bishop hardly at all. we just moved into a new ward about a month and a half ago and theres nobody in that ward that i feel ok talking with. they're not very friendly.... am i allowed to go to my old bishop? i was really close with him... or are you not able to do that once you're not in their ward anymore? I don't see anything wrong with that.

I have another question, what does idk mean? the avatar i thought looked kool and my sn cuz i never fit in much with everyone in my ward so ive been the kid in the korner, the girl dont make a diffrents now shes into the guy i hate most in the ward (i say hate cuz him and his buddys spit and laughed at me when i was a decon) so im trying to help her out even tho i hate him thanks 4 all the help guys i guess im goin campin Hm, I know some people like that

I do believe that their are geeks similar to these in the movie…although maybe not as self assured. Having only seen this movie one time I am a little confused. It may not be as knowledgeable about this as some of you. This is what I took from this movie: Yes there are some geeks in this movie and they do group together. I don't think that they believe they are geeks. They are just kids being themselves and they don't see themselves as different at all. The two main geeks ask the most popular girls to the dance and they are sincere in their approach. One of the geeks decides to run for student body office and you know how that turns out. The geeks rejoice and win and the end just for being who they are. In actuality nobody really admires those who need to be fake everyday of their lives just to be popular. Even popular kids have some geeky traits; they are just more concerned about what others think, so they keep themselves in check. What is being popular after all? Who sets the standards for being popular? In being popular, is it required that you separate yourself socially from some other kids? It would be such a great thing if all students understood that their life in school is such a small percentage of their lives. Once you are out of high school the things you thought were so important don't matter anymore. That's a good PoV

I believe what iamalighthouse is referring to as inappropriate is how the movie makes fun of the "geek" crowd when in actuality it's an extreme exagerration of the "geek" crowd. No one is really like that.

You're just like my sister. You're taking what was meant to be comical in the movie as a personal offense. And can you honestly suggest any other movies out there that would be better? Whereas in this example, they use "freakin" instead of a few other words, and things like that. Also. THIS IS NOT NON-FICTION. People are not like that, there really isn't anyone. I'm sorry, but there aren't!

Yeah, what I've heard is that there aren't any scriptural cross references, Dictionary, Topical guide, just the book. That's why I'm sayin you could get a better version with all of that for free.

What's with this? Their publishing the book of mormon to retail stores for like 25 dollars, when in actuallity you could get a better version for free. I'm not sure I quite understand the church's approval of this.

It's all good. I listen to Relient K too, nothing wrong with them. We're all Christian. If anything it's uplifting music, and that's what we're supposed to listen to.
