  2. I 've never made a big stink about mother's day before, but since i just did it again, given birth. Now we are done. no more babies for mama cox. i am tired. i would love something special from him. just to say thank you for giving me 6 boys.
  3. Please we could use all of your prayers. Its been 2 weeks tomorrow and doctors are saying 1 more month. I need you all, I don't know if I can do this for one more month. I try to just think of the today and not any more, but when I am alone at night since nate works nights I lay alone and miss my little baby, especially while I pump my milk out since he isn't with me and I still want to nurse him when he gets home. All prayers and thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
  4. I listen to country too. But here is one from the christian music channel. http://www.myspace.com/markschultz Click on "Walking her home" here are just the lyrics listed: go above to hear the song. I dedicate it to those that could imagine their lives without their spouses. Looking back He sees it all It was her first date the night he came to call Her dad said son Have her home on time And promise me you’ll never leave her side He took her to a show in town And he was ten feet off the ground (Chorus) He was walking her home And holding her hand Oh the way she smiled it stole the breath right out of him Down that old road With the stars up above He remembers where he was the night he fell in love He was walking her home Ten more years and a waiting room At half past one And the doctor said come in and meet your son His knees went weak When he saw his wife She was smiling as she said he’s got your eyes And as she slept he held her tight His mind went back to that first night (Chorus) He walked her through the best days of her life Sixty years together and he never left her side A nursing home At eighty-five And the doctor said it could be her last night And the nurse said Oh Should we tell him now Or should he wait until the morning to find out But when they checked her room that night He was laying by her side Oh he was walking her home And holding her hand Oh the way she smiled when he said this is not the end And just for a while they were eighteen And she was still more beautiful to him than anything He was walking her home He was walking her home Looking back He sees it all It was her first date the night he came to call
  5. We haven't been able to go to church a lot lately with me being on bedrest for our 6th child and now he our son (Isaac) is in the NICU. So I also didn't get to go to our stake conference. I thought that I would share with you all that my husband got moved to working nights 7pm to 7am in the ER. Thats why Nate hasn't been too involved in the forum lately, but I wanted to share that even in the ER he has been able to use the priesthood. I am so proud of him that he hasn't been shy to ask when he notices that someone is LDS if they would like his help to give a blessing. Something despite our situation I have been proud to see him do for others. Just wanted to share.
  6. Thank you both for your thoughts and congrats. If it weren't for Heavenly Father this could be a lot harder of a situation.
  7. How do you feel about the old testament? The things that I have said. I was wondering coming from a non member of the church. Do you believe that there are other gods out there?
  8. Isaac Christian Cox 6th baby boy!!!!!! Born on April 9th 5 lbs 17 1/2 inches Preterm baby born at 32 weeks is still in the NICU Cutest baby! Fuzzy head!!! C-section for first time on mom. Still recovering. Baby is getting better everyday. hopefully only a couple more weeks and he will be home. We will keep this updated. Any questions are fine to ask.
  9. This is just my opinion. I feel that when Heavenly Father gave that commandment to Moses it was part of the lesser light and knowledge, the aaronic priesthood. As we should remember from the scriptures moses had two sets of plates that contained the two priesthoods. When he saw what what was going on when he came down from the mountain, he destroyed the second set of plates due to unworthiness of the people to receive the Melchizedek priesthood. As active members we know that we can strive to become Gods and Godesses. So therefore when we have the light and knowledge of both priesthoods we know that there are other Gods and Godesses out there. But we are the children of our Heavenly Father and we are to worship him only.
  10. That quote brought tears to my eyes. my husband is Nate and he is in the Army. I think all the time about what if he has to go to Iraq. I feel selfish and want him to stay. He only has a year left, but he could get stopped losted and still have to go. So i think to myself why should he have to go over there. Here is how a lot of the LDS wives of Military feel. That over in Iraq they haven't had the chance to receive the gospel and if our husbands can share with one person the gospel then its worth it. Just a thought from an Army wife.
  11. When I posted this poem, it was for those of you who read this forum and are the angels that god speaks of. I was trying to remind us of how important our roles are as mothers. This wasn't suppose to be a portal to bash the bad seeds. But just a sweet reminder of the responsibity that Heavenly Father has placed in our hands. There are bad mothers out there I know first hand what kind of mothers are out there, but this peom isn't for them its for us, the ones that would give our lives willing for our children.
  12. Chantee, do you ever get a straight answer from Nate? LOL. IN all serious though, Nate, everything is up for debate if one wants it to be, but I am simply asking... how could Song of Solomon not be of God if it was included in the Bible? Do _you_ think it should not be placed in the Bible? In the Inspired Version of the Bible which Joseph Smith did, he did not include it. It always puzzled me as to why? Now don't go answering me with another question... or else! In my experience with all things spiritual and with the ever frustrating Nate, take a deep breath clear your mind. Now I want you to think of a white glorious room think of nothing at first then feel the warmth of that room..... Now ask the question that is most in your mind. DON'T I REPEAT DON'T, criticize the first thoughts that come into your mind cause that is your answer from god not you over analyzing things. i hope that this helps.
  13. i feel so sorry for the youth of this time to not have someone in their life for good guidance and a good role model.
  14. Blessed, I have a 10,7,4,1,8mo and pregnant I have no cable and no internet that they can access. They have more things to do with their minds then waste time with tv. Don't get me wrong some things are educational, but you have to be careful. It always nice to hear you responds.
  15. <div align="center">For the mother of my children, her mom, my mom, and all moms </div> <div align="center">The child asked God, “They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?” “Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.” The child further inquired, “But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.” God said, “Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you and you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.” Again the child asked, “And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?” God said, “Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.” “And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?” God said, “Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.” “Who will protect me?” God said, “Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's life.” “But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.” God said, “Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you.” At that moment there was much peace in heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, “God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.” </div> <div align="center">“You will simply call her ‘Mom.’”</div>
