He did not attack his disability at all. I just do not see how you get to that point. Fox had done exactly what Rush had said, so how is that attacking his disability? Are we not supposed to point that out? Is anyone with a disability now off limits? I have a hearling loss so anybody who disagrees with me or accuses me of acting like I dont hear them (which I do sometimes lol), should be condemed?

I like Mike too. Really enjoyed most of his movies and TV. But politically I am polar opposite of him.

We are a sovern nation. Any nation in the world to exist must have boarders or else it no longer is a nation. For example if we had no boarders then where does Canada start? How about Mexico? Why not just allow them the right to vote in our elections and us the right to vote in theirs? Ah but see that is it. That is the goal. One world Government under the UN with each former nation reduced to just a state of the UN. Since our way of life is in the minority world wide, this is one of the few ways the leftist can try and impose their socialism and world view upon us to take away our freedoms and enslave us. Here is how I would fix the border without a fence needed at all. If these changes came to pass the whole issue would be over with in less than a week. My fix 1. Deport all illegals. 2. Allow employeers to check legal status of workers before hirring (illegal to do now) 3. Prosecute those who hire illegals. 4. Prosecute those who house illegals. 5. Deny all governemt services to illegals (School, medical, food, etc...) 6. Deny children born in the US by illegals to be citizens. (New years day baby was an illegal.) 7. All legals MUST learn English After all of the above is enacted and enforced then... 1. Look at a guest worker program that allows people to come and work from all over the globe. 2. Look at our current immigration limits and look for improvments. 3. All possible immigrants/guest workers must learn and pass a test on English, US History, and our founding prinipals. They must agree to become a part of our melting pot if they plan to stay. 4. All possible immigrants must be able to offer some skills that they can provide to our society. 5. Enact a nation ID card system. Those of us who wish to drive get it upgraded to a drivers license at the DMV. Perhaps it could also work as a passport. 6. Require ID card to vote. At the health care question, I need to find some of my research on it. But basicly most Americans have been spoon feed doom and gloom from the media about health care. Those polled think their health care is great, but they think the rest of the countrys ######. How can that be then? So really we have a perception problem in this country, not a health care problem. The government has no business at all in health care.

There was a HUGE difference as Rush was not making a joke about Mr Fox but rather asking a serious question about whether or not he had not taken his medication so his symptoms would be more obvious which Mr. Fox HAD done in the past and admitted. Rush said nothing wrong and everyone in the media should have been asking the same question.

Imus is an idiot. He always has been. The funny part is he is also a Liberal and this is one of the first times I have seen them EVER go after one of their own in such a rabbid way. Now what he did was small with much much worse being said on a daily basis by others including stand ups like Chris Rock, Dave Chapelle, and the entire R&B culture. In fact I took Imus' comment as more a joke about that culture than anything to do with those ladies at Rutgers. Why the double standard? It is either perfectly ok to say what he said or it is not. If not then we better start seeing some outrage for every single rap artist and black stand up comic. Should Imus have lost his job? Yes, but not over this... but rather because he has no class and is a total idiot.

Faith alone is a step, not the journy. We could take just a couple steps and go to a better place, but to reach the highest level we must go all the way. Like a mountain, the view is best from the top and faith helps us find the base of the mountain to climb.

Sister And Boyfriend Sleeping Together Under Mum' Roof

The bad part is, either you got to shop in the grandma section or try to figure out a way to make the clothing work. My wife is layering the clothes to make them work. So if the top is revealing which is 90% of the time the problem, then she will get a shirt to go under that. Pain in the but and more expensive, but really there are no main stream clothing stores that sell modest clothing at all. -

I agree that standards have dropped but sleeping in the same building for somebody visiting out of town vs sleeping in the same bed are huge differences. I do think standards have slipped due to a number of reasons and that we must fight to uphold good standards and morals. Dress standard is a big one these days, my wife faces it any time when she buys clothing and everything is so revealing and not up to standards. Or when we want to watch TV and they slip in dirty subjects or language that we do not care to hear. It is a daily assault on us for sure. -

Letting somebody stay over from out of town is no big deal as long as you are able to maintain seperate sleeping areas. You got to remember, if somebody is going to do something they should not be doing... its not going to be the one night they stay with you. One of my friends has a boy friend and both live here to go to school. They each have their own appartment and see each other often. Both are good standing members of the Church. When she goes home, people freak out if she brings her boyfriend with her to get to know the family. They make him and her jump through a million hoops that really diminishes the time they could have to spend with the family and instead are forced to play all these games. In the end, both go to visit her family a lot less now because they do not want the hassle. However I do agree with, "my house, my rules" and one must respect that or stay else where. They have chosen the "stay elsewhere" by not going home as much. Now on the other extreme, I have a good friend who is a non member. Her and her boyfriend are having relations and she is open about it and thinks it is fine. Her parents however do not feel it is fine. Anyway, when she would come home she would want to bring her boyfriend with her and have them sleep in the same room. Her parents objected stating "Our house, our rules". All her parents asked for was to have the sleep in seperate rooms and to not have relations at their house. My friends boyfriend was offended and viewed it as an attempt to tell him how to live his life. He ended up turning my friend against her parents over this which lasted a few years. Both are very different situations, but as I said... there is nothing wrong with a person staying over of the opposite sex as long as each person has their own sleeping space and the rules are clear and understood. -
Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Powerful song about life.

What Is With All Of The Hate Towards Latter-day Saints?
JcDean78 replied to jimradictis's topic in General Discussion
I see it all the time. Mitt really got them in gear to attack us since he is running for President. I read Townhall.com a lot and there are a lot of conservative "Christians" over there who bash us and make up outright lies. Its a shame since most of us share the same values and goals. I just do not see the hate going away. I think this is a burden and challenge that we must continue to endure. -
Ever Been To A House Of Worship Outside Your Faith?
JcDean78 replied to prisonchaplain's topic in General Discussion
I was not born into the Church but rather a convert when I was a teen-ager. I am the only member in my family and my family has a lot of mixed religion though all Christian. Such as Protestant, Methodist, Baptist (lots of this one), Evangical, Presperterian, and so on. It is a really great experience to see other Churches. To see what puzzle pieces they have and how those values and beliefs shape their lives. My wife and I were watching a TV preacher the other evening and he was sooo close to having the truth but then all of a sudden he lost the meaning and fell off the path in his speech. This is in my opinion, a major reason why we are told to be respectful towards other peoples religion, because they contain pieces of the truth that we share. -
I am a 28 year old LDS member who was looking for a good LDS forum that has a lot of activity. I hope I found the right one. Married for 5 almost 6 years with our first child on the way due July 4th! (She will get fireworks for her Bday every year!). IRL, I am a computer programmer who enjoys online gaming, sports (playing and watching), animals, politics, firearms, and most of all my family. Looking forward to participating in the discussions.

Global Warming is a joke. It is just another tool used by the Environmental movement to try and hurt America and capitalism. The fact that they (GW alarmist) try to silence debate on the issue should be a huge red flag to anybody with a lick of common sense. Heating and Cooling are normal trends of the Earth, man has little impact. However I am all for keeping our environment as clean as possible within realistic means as most people are.

My wife and I enjoy it a lot. It is a great activity for a family, especially with lots of kids. While my wife and I are only working on our first child right now, we enjoyed the DDR game back when we were dating with all the other YSA's. We also love to play it with all of our brothers, sister, nieces, and nephews. Even my mother in law gave it a try which was very funny. As for other games, I am a gamer and ever work on a modification for an online game. I am also a member of an online gaming group that I helped found which has a couple other LDS members. Been into gaming since I was a wee lad. Most of the games I play these days are online such as the Battlefield series, Company of Heroes, and Call of Duty. My wife plays a bit too but she enjoys SIM type games or mystery puzzle games which put me to sleep half the time. lol. Anyway, I had been looking for some LDS forums and found this one which looks to be rather active. I plan to stick around and engage in the conversations.
