If it actually happened, then yes. A mere fraction of the Old Testament is inspired of God. The rest is garbage. This is the historical difficulty that so many LDS seem to not understand. Granted that today's conference talks are not considered "doctrine" but in the 19th century, if it was spoken from the Bowery, it was no different than the Standard Works. I don't understand why people cannot comprehend that. Why don't you take up your quad and look up prophets in the Bible Dictionary. There are Sixteen men sustained as Prophets, Seers, and Revelators. They are the First Presidency (3) the Quorum of the Twelve (12) and the Patriarch of the Church (1). Only Fifteen are so sustained anymore, but up until 1978, there were Sixteen. God has asked quite a few things of us. Some are odd and some have been skewed ofcaorse. I admit he wasnt perfect, but he has done some good things. The discourses were never considered doctrine. We do not consider general conference doctrine. And no the counselors are not sustained as prophet's seers and revelators, only counselors, but i believe grant was a twelve. Thankyou my friend. I do not appreciate you calling brigham young a prophet crazy. You dont understand us if you think you can say that and it will not hurt my feelings. The discourses are not docterine. We cannot take it as such. The church doesnt sustain the journal of discourses so there is no knowledge that it is correct especially online. I dont justify the killing of those mmm folks. So I dont like the fact that he thinks he was saving them and I dont believe that's what he thought. He was scared and killed them *period*. J.M. Grant was in the first presidency. They are counselors not prophets. I could be wrong, but I don't believe we sustain the counselors (unless in the apostles) as prophet, seers, and revelators. Even if we did. We may very well see the imperfection of a human being here. Show me a religion with a lower amount of problems than ours and I'll show you my third nipple. We do quite well when we people dont lie about us. If I remember correctly David, and Solomon were severe apostates. They took wives that they werent supposed to. in 1kings 15: 5 it says david did what was right in the lord except for uriah the hittite. Solomon is in 1kings 11. Brigham Young didn't issue the order. UNless it was commanded of God. True some people have yet to understand Brigham Young, but he was what was needed at the time. His "Blood filled sermons" were infact saying that they would pay, not that they would make them pay. There is a difference and I would like that to be made clear. If you support these men as prphets you will try to understand that he wouldnt of ordered such a thing unless it was of God.

Dr. T, Oh ok. Obviously I dont know you well, but I see something that resembles potential. I see that you love the docterine. Next time you read. Compare the foot notes with that of the bibles. The bible mentions annointing with oil, eternal marriange and baptism for the dead, plus it talks about prophets in revelations and the latter days.I.E. the 3 prophets to die in the streets of jeruselem and rise on the third day. Also Jacob had upwards of 4 or 5 wives I believe same with isaac and abraham. A few others as well.

Oh you got me wrong. I know there are evidences of christ all over the world, but I dot center my faith on those evidences. There like an extra thing on the side. I know christ lived because I feel it inside of me. Not because some scholar told me so. Im not denying the evidences in any way. The fair skinned god of the new world. The aztecs thought it was hernandez if I remember right. The fare skinned god quetzolcoatle(spelling) was infact born of a virgin and came down in a pillar of light (born and died same time as jesus) according to mayan theology. He than promised to return.(I.E. second coming) There are even depictions of quetzlecoatle on a cross. You see the BoM reasures us that God is a just god and doesnt choose one people over another. According to our docterine every man, woman, and child will here the gosple to its fullnes. Hence baptisms for the dead. Show me another church as just as ours and ill show you my third arm. Dont get me wrong the other churches teach great things and bits and pieces of the gosple. They are all great people as well im sure.

Dr. T When you pray and go to church do you feel the spirit. Is it something that you cant explain. Or do you rely on the fact that you can explain it and that its impenetrable evidence. I love the evidence, but I love the spirit more.

Wow I didnt understand until recently that people believe in the bible because of the proof. I believe in the bible because the bible and the BoM comment each other so well. I believe because of pure faith and the way God has answered my prayers. Obviously the evidence of the BoM isnt very conclusive except for the Tree of life stone the name glyphs are the selling point, but they could all be disproven in a day. Yes the evidence say the BoM "can be" but that means you should give it a good try and see if it "is" or "will be".

Dr. T. There is plenty of evicence of the BoM. Look up the Izapa Stella 5. It's a stone that depicts the tree of life. The lehi picture has a glyph of a jaw bone wich translated means lehi and the nephi figure has a grain headdress the egyptian grain god was named nepi. This was all found in ancent america. Plus the stone pyramids and many other things. Just do some research.

This is very hard for you Im sure. I think that your Father in heaven will stick by you and your wife cannot take your family away from you. You have the choice to stay with your kids and teach them what you know is right. God will help you. He will soften the hearts of many to be your friend and those in charge of allowing your children to stay with you. Just pray allot and stay faithful my friend.

Wow thats interesting can you remember maybe what might of caused it. Had you been reactivated or maybe you just started doing more at church?

Wow it seems like alot of people have had it when they start getting very faithful. I.E. Joseph Smith. and all of you that have explained it. Its odd. I prayed for it not to happen and the last two nights it hasnt happened once. I know it was something evil, but good thing God is allot stronger. P.S. I will ask for a blessing thanks.
