Must one be married to enter the Celestial Kingdom?
MormonGirl02 replied to MormonGirl02's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
Yes, I try to always remember that. Thank you Palerider. :) Is this saying that no one will get married in the Spirit World? Ah okay. So that is what I was thinking of. I knew you had to be married to do something but I couldn't remember what. Thank you Jenamarie. :) -

Why did people in the scriptures live so long?
MormonGirl02 replied to Gatsby's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
I have always wondered about this subject myself and that scripture from the Book of Mormon really helped to answer my question. Thank you! :) -
I really hope I have not made a fool out of myself with this thread. I honestly thought that we believed in the rapture. When I was going through the missionary discussions before I was baptized, I don't think we ever really discussed the rapture or the second coming except for maybe in passing. Everyone, please forgive me for my ignorance.

Well, I thought my name was removed about a week ago because I received a letter about it.

Well, the missionaries didn't come over this evening. When I contacted them to ask them where they were at they basically told me that they didn't need to come over because I am still on the membership rolls! Praise God! I don't need to be baptized and confirmed again as I am still a member!

Ok I'll do that Hemidakota. Anyway, the missionaries are coming over this evening to talk to me. :)

Well everyone, I have finally made my decision. I am coming back to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was reading on Jeff Lindsay's page about the accuracy of the Book of Mormon and needless to say, I was astounded. I am not sure that I ever really realized just how accurate it was before. I believe again and will be coming back. I know that means I'll have to be baptized and confirmed again but that is ok. This time, I'm staying!

I honestly don't recall that but if you say so...

Yes, I change religions frequently but no, I have not been banned from any boards but 1 for changing my religion and that board was a fundamentalist board that couldn't deal with the fact that I had gone back to Catholicism once more. And actually, I am getting help. I see a therapist once a month and sometimes more. I still don't think this is a good reason for people to be rude to me though. I am seriously considering doing an in depth study of Mormonism and possibly coming back for good. Please take me seriously people.

Ok, so I recently withdrew my membership from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am considering possibly coming back. My membership has been officially withdrawn and so I'd have to be re baptized etc. I was just wondering, would the process for me to be re baptized and such take longer than it was for me to become baptized the first time or what? What is the process like?

Actually, it could be that Jesus really did sweat blood. Hematohidrosis (the sweating of blood) is a real medical condition. See here: Hematohidrosis - definition of Hematohidrosis in the Medical dictionary - by the Free Online Medical Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia. And here: Hematohidrosis - encyclopedia article about Hematohidrosis.

1. I'm not sure what you mean by this. 2. Yes, one must be baptized by one with authority to receive salvation. 3. Yes, baptism is a requirement for salvation. 4. I'm not sure. P.S. I may have gotten one or more of the answers wrong. If I did, I'm sure someone will correct me.

I learned that Mormonism was the truth at the age of 24. I am now 25. :)

Baptism washes away your sins, in essence, saving you.

Prayer Request

Thank you The Garden Girl. I have already prayed about this but I have not yet completely turned it over to the Lord. I think that is something that I will do tonight before I go to bed. Thank you. :) -
You all have probably heard by now that the Mayan calendar ends in 2012. Some have said that this means the end of the world will happen in 2012. What do you think? I personally don't trust it because: Mat 24:36 KJV But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Mar 13:32 KJV But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Well everyone, I am once again depressed about David and I. I am hoping that time will heal all wounds and that him and I will be back together in the future. -
Ah okay. Thank you for the book recommendations.

Thank you for your help HiJolly. I do appreciate it. Your help is helping me out a great deal. I also read this article: http://en.fairmormon.org/Patristic_evidence_of_the_apostasy and found that it helped me a great deal also. My faith in the Great Apostasy has been strengthened a great deal and I no longer have as many doubts as I had previously. Thanks to both you and jwhitlock. :)
