I know many may say I am way off using this source..... BRM's Mormon Doctrine "Second Chance Theory" will answer the question. I think its pretty accurate, but I understand its not "OFFICIAL" doctrine of the LDS faith.

I was already well versed and had a good understanding of the Bible before I ever joined the Church. It was the Bible that converted me to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, not the Book of Mormon (although it helped). Your saying that our idea of prayer is somehow flawed (using your Islam statement) is flawed in itself. If a Muslim was to ask God the Eternal Father if the Bible was true and he got a wittness of the Holy Ghost that it was his word, would he be somehow flawed for asking? If you did the same with the BOM would you be flawed? I believe if you had a stronger testamony of prayer you would not ask such questions and make the statements you have above. I notice how often a "Christian" tells us that our God is not the REALY REAL God or that Our Jesus isn't the Really real one. Your statement says the same. What God you ask? I know you know better. Who is the Father of the Christ? You know better. As for a different Gospel Paul was preaching about.....well where do you stand? Is the Catholic right? The Baptist? The Methodist etc...? They all preach a different Gospel, but because they are mainstream its ok. In fact, I often notice how they can all buddy up together when it comes to this argument. They often say,"we all believe in the same Gospel , but celebrate /worship is different manners." If that is the case, why are we not allowed the same. Don't say the Bible says, because we use the Bible as well. In fact, you guys don't even use the same Bibles anyways. The Catholics have 14 more books than do the protestants... which brings up the other argument about us adding to the Bible by recognizing the BOM. Well, if thats the case, how come protestants have taken away and nothing is said? The King James Bible of 1611 DID include the Apocrypha and now it does not. Hmmmm? Your logic is flawed because you don't fully understand prayer. Don't deny the Holy Ghost. For by the Holy Ghost you can know the truth of all things.

My Branch Pres. is married to his second wife (first ended in D). I'm not sure if a man can or cannot become Bishop though.

I live in south mississippi. It is absolutly normal for someone to say something completely rude and uncalledfor if your LDS. Family will even do it. I can't count how many times something like this has happened to me and my family (wife and kids).

Im in a small branch. Seems to be growing but slow. One step at a time I suppose.

I don't want to come across as the EVIL MORMON (saying this with my pinky in the corner of my mouth) but, is this just me, or do you guys see this as an ANTI-Mormon posting on this site. The guy has 3 post here, been a member for 68 years (of the LDS faith), and has an issue with DNA? Man, this guy after this long in the church was either sheltered and not ever exposed to ANTI, or has endured tons of ANTI (which after this long I would imagine his spiritual skin is tough as leather), or he's not actually a member. This DNA non-sence holds no water and for this to kick him off the wagon....hmmmm. I do hope its actually ANTI. I would hate to know that after 68 years one would lose his testimony over such a thing. If its true, I hope you come back. Sorry if I was rude....just speaking my mind. Thanks.

I myself have been divorced twice, raised Baptist, 34 years old, and I too am from the south (mississippi). Hmmm... at least I'm not the only redneck here. LOL

Thanks guys. I first joined MADB and heard about this place. All the guys at MADB said this is the place for gaining strength...so you can go back to MADB to burn it off in a good fight...lol. MADB is great, so is this.... But I made the mistake of going to CARM! Guys, trust me, that place is bad.
