NateHowe Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 We have been "called out" for a very long time. Our role is to stand in holy places and to establish those holy places among us. This talk may be intended to strengthen our ability to follow the counsel we have already been given, or it may be a preparation for stronger counsel to come. I tend to think it is both. As a people, we have not lived up to the teachings of the Lord's servants. We will be constantly "called out" from our complacency until we accomplish the work the Lord has for this people. The language is becoming stronger and clearer, but the message will remain the same: Follow the prophet. Quote
Canuck Mormon Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 I read this article yesterday, and I don't think he's calling us out. I think the message of the article was to listen to the words of the prophet. I especially liked the story of how Joseph sent word to the people in Haun's Mill to get out, but the message was never relayed to the leaders there. We all know the story of what happened there. I think that when the time comes for a "call out" it will be clear and precise, not ambiguous a vague. Quote
Guest User-Removed Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 How long is Mullnite's banning?I saw that under his named and wondered about it?I can't imagine Mullinite doing anything that would warrant banning him???Like Arsinio...I'm pressing a finger on my left temple and goingHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Quote
Bookmeister Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 I imagine, if there was a formal call from the Prophet for the Church to pack up their stuff and get moving, the Prophet would be the one to actually make the call. After that, I expect that we would be contacted appropriately through our Stake and Ward leadership, with specific instructions as to what we should do, where to go, etc. I'm not seeing that here.
