I did it! I made a playlist! I have tunes! I have 99 songs on my profile. :D

Who else has tunes?

Oh yes, I even figured out how to add my favorite video. What a miraculous day!

Ok so I just checked out your playlist and I have to say I have a new found respect for you. I mean anyone that includes Ask by the Smiths or even knows who they are is ok in my book. Not to mention XTC and the Cure. Wow I never would have guessed.

Too bad you are married already.... hey do you have a sister?

I do have a sister! She's married. :D Thanks for the nice compliment.

There is a Light that Never Goes Out - that's our song. My husband and I always joke that we want to die together. Have you ever checked out those lyrics?

Also, I got to see Morrissey in concert and it was awesome. He threw his sweaty shirt into the crowd, some people started fighting over it, a security guard confiscated it, gave it back to Morrissey, and then he threw it back into the crowd.

I love that song. Most Smiths songs are great because they are so morbid. One of my favorites of theirs is Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me. Kinda the story of my life.

Oh, and this is really funny. Last night my husband checked out a CD at the library that has The Cure songs in lullaby form.

Ok You gotta tell me the name so I can get it.

I have never been a huge fan of Morrissey's solo stuff but does he do any Smiths songs? I wish I could have seen them live but by the time I heard about them they had just broken up. I did get to see the Cure twice in a row on their Wish tour, it was way cool.

Oh and I noticed you had some English Beat and General Public so I wanted to tell you I met Dave Wakeling, the singer, a couple times. He gave me and my friend some advice cause at the time we were thinking of starting a ska band. Pretty nice chap.

I think it's funny how the Smiths have such morbid lyrics but such happy sounding music. Like Girlfriend in a Coma. I don't know anyone else who writes songs about people in comas. Or oujia boards. They crack me up. I also like Hairdresser on Fire. I think my favorite Morrissey song is "Interesting Drug". Have you ever heard of the band Ocean Blue? They have a similar style and are my husband's favorite band. Oh, and I'm trying to remember if Morrissey did any Smiths songs, but I don't recall any. I think that was about 10 years ago.

Let me know what you think of this song:

# (It's kind of quiet on my computer)

We got to go to their concert and CD signing the next day. I thought it was cool when this guy started to ask about if the lead singer was married and he just replied, "Our personal lives are a closed book to the public."

Ok, here is the lullabye album: Rockabye Baby - Lullaby Renditions of The Cure

My husband says there is a whole series of them - U2, Metallica (he said that one sounded really creepy), and others.

The back of the CD says: Rockabye Baby! transforms timeless rock songs into beautiful instrumental lullabies. Instead of distorted guitars and thunderous drums, we've used glockenspiel, vibraphone, melltron and other intruments.

Lullabye. A whisper. The Cure's music is just like heaven to their fans. Beautiul, infinite and captivating, The Cure's best work captures a dreamy sense of love and longing. This album is a mesmerizing and serene take on the kind of quirky, romantic songs that The Cure helped make famous. If only tonight we could sleep as soundly as your child will after hearing these interpretations of The Cure.

I loooooove them! Once when I lost my job, I put on English Beat and I was happy again. :D I almost got to go to a Dave Wakeling concert, but it got canceled. I'm sure I'll get to see him eventually.

So did you start a ska band? I love ska. There was a band in Provo that wanted me to sing back-up.
