So, I’m in the Department of Motor Vehicles building with one of my brothers, he had some business to take care of. I sit down and see all the people getting their license renewed and all that. While I’m waiting for my brother I was sitting there just thinking about all the people in the big room – all the female state workers, all the male and female customers. And I’m thinking – they are all Heavenly Fathers children. All!

I’m sitting down and a Senior Citizen sits to my right. There is another Senior Citizen on my left. One of my goals is to be nicer and more sociable to my Heavenly Brothers and Sisters. So, I try to say hi to the guy on my right. I say – How you doing today? Here to get your license renewed? He says he’s doing ok and all that. A few seconds later they call his name and he gets up to go do his business.

So, there I am, sitting with the other guy on my left, about the seats over. I was wanting to say hi to him to but he was looking forward and not over at me plus he was two seats over. I started thinking about choosing the right over the wrong. I also remembered the last General Conference where I heard that we should ask ward members simple questions that show we care like – how are you doing? How is your grandmother doing? Etc… After thinking of all that I still was not sure I wanted to say hi to this guy. Then a feeling came over me – what if this guy was Jesus Christ? Would I say hi to him then? Uh, if he was Jesus Christ, absolutely! I would get on my knees! So I thought, we are supposed to love others like we love ourselves. When we serve others we are serving the Lord. I thought – here I my test – Jesus might just be sitting next to me. I better say hi. So, I lean over and ask him how he’s doing. I ask him if he received any damage during the storm. I tell him my power went out. One minute of simple chit chat.

Walking out of that building I was thinking – should I view all other people as if they have a little of Jesus in them? A little later I was in a gas station and it was a little busy. I viewed all those people in the store as having a little of Jesus in them. I viewed them slightly different than I had in the past. I did not look down on those people. They had/have a little of Jesus in them. Maybe a lot.

So, does everyone have a little of Jesus and Heavenly Father in them?

My buddy Jesus Garcia has given blood every five weeks for the last eighteen years. I'd say there must be many people walking around today with a little Jesus in them.

(PS I thought your story was touching. Just had to grab the straight line when it was available.)
