bytor2112 Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 (edited) As I have posted in other threads, I have been an active member of the church since March of 2005. I was in-active for 21 years and sadly living far from the Gospel. Since my return, I have had a voracious appetite for all things related to the Gospel. The scriptures, books, talks.....this site, anything that teaches me about the Gospel. I had a dream a couple of years ago that I think of often. In this dream I am late for class and as I enter this very large class room filled with all of my church friends, they turn to look at me and I see a desk that has been saved for me at the front of the class. I can't help but believe that this from Heavenly Father.......that he knew I was coming and saved a place for me. I feel the spirit when I think on this and it makes me realize how much the Lord knows and loves each of us and that he never forgets any of his children.I have had other dreams and experiences and I am sure you have to......care to share? Misshalfway Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 I have had more than one dream back in high school and college that warned me about dating certain guys. In one dream, this boy I was dating was giving me chocolate that was poison and made my family sick. I then had a dream that if I got into the cab of the truck this boy was driving that I would have to fight a lion. In both dreams, I felt that these were the wrong people for me to be with and I soon found out why. One got angry because I wouldn't break the law of chastity. The other left the church and really struggled in his life. Quote
raulrosalez22 Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 I once had a dream that I was inside this huge black room (or that is what I think it was)and then this white path started forming just infront of me. it was a narrow white path with lots of curves. and I followed with my eyes untill I saw the door to a white castle. Next to ir and kind of floating I saw an image of an individual who extended his arms as if I were a little kid and wanted me to walk to him. I decided to get baptized because of the incredibility of the dream. I never had a dream like that before. months later I went with the young men and women to the temple at Houston Texas. and right when we turned into the driveway of the temple parking lot I saw that castle.I was surprised at its beauty. and more because I had seen it in one dream way before of my knowledge of its real existence.and since then it remains my favorite temple. The Houston Texas temple =)http://www.ldschurchtemples.com/houston/gallery/images/houston_lds_mormon_temple2-thumb.jpg Quote

I have had some dreams – mostly of a personal nature. One dream I had a few years back – I dreamed that I discovered a problem and that an angel was sent to tell me what to do. The next day I discovered that indeed I did have the problem in my dream. I called a friend (as told in the dream) and told them to do exactly what I had been instructed to tell them to do in the dream by the angel. The problem was solved. Later I told my friend of my dream and they informed me that at first the task as I explained seemed impossible but as they went about doing as I instructed all went so well they were surprised it was so easy. The Traveler Quote

It was also when I was inactive.I was walking in the countryside by myself. I came to a wide river where I could see a group of people walking along the otherside. I noticed that quite a few of them were walking bouncing basketballs. looking closer I realised they were all the people I attended church with when I was younger (All teenage mormons played basketball in my ward and it was quite funny that they had basketballs in the dream) I instantly felt like I needed to get across the river to them. they were all walking in the same direction along the riverbank. and I spent along time in my dream running alongside them on the otherside by myself trying to join them but finding no way across. After quite a while I came to a bridge, a rickety old wooden one. I started to cross it carefully to get across to my old friends and thats when I woke up. This dream for me definately had a huge amount of meaning and symbolism and has been etched into my memory ever since. Quote
