Why do you Americans like to bust this line out? I am on a number of forums and a lot of these comments are tossed about willy nilly, accusations of 'you are a frothing at the mouth america hater, because you don't like the american government you don't like the american people which means you hate me!!!' (exaggerated yes, but basically implied). It's really sad..... Do you disagree with me when I say that America is on the road to socialism/communism? if yes, then the American people voted for it. Do you disagree with me when I say that 8 years after the iraq invasion to liberate them, they are no more free and no more better off than they were with saddam, with millions of dead iraqi civilians and Children? who voted that US government in? Do you disagree with me when I tell you that the US has 'offence' force bases in over 150 countries and that many countries want them out, but the offence forces aren't budging? who voted for that oppression? Who voted for abu ghraib and torture? Who voted for American security forces that operate in Iraq outside of American forces control, under corporate control, that roam wantonly as armed to the teeth mercenaries (formerly known as blackwater etc)? and on and on....... Well YOU did of course, with your democratically elected government by choice of the people, a government that endorses all of the above. YOU must be responsible yes?

Very intereseting documentary I watched recently the ascent of money: safe as houses part five goes through goes through prime, sub prime, federal credit, credit 'by colour' and a lot of interesting info relating to home ownership and govt incentives effects on economy.

if the Prophet feels the need to clarify the specifics of the book of revelation, I will be more than happy to accept that revelation as from God. truth is revealed to more than the LDS alone, though. Doctrine/ordinance/Gospel/Salvation wise, yes revealed truth only to LDS (the important stuff) through the prophet.

Yeah I'm familiar with a lot of different interpretations. The problem I have seen is that Catholic Scholars (jesuits) have tried to create their interpretation of revelations to direct the focus away fron the catholic church fulfilling those prophecies (that actually just about fit to the T),Evangelicals try to fit it to their beliefs etc, And then you have LDS who try to fit them to the interpretation that the US is both 'the beast' and the blessed promised land. The symbolism of revelations parallels Daniel prophecies amd is specific, Daniel explains his prophecies with historical accuracy before they happened. So from Dan you can peice together Revelations and everything gains clarity. I don't have a preconceived Idea to try and fit it to, with some open minded study, it reveals itself. I will post some interpretation on here soon. I'm always on my laptop on here, My PC has all my notes on the christian timeline. I'll put a bit up tomorrow.

America is the beast that rose from the earth after the first beast. look into the symbolism throughout scripture and historical fulfullment relating it to book of Daniel. take note as well that the 'first beast' was wounded as unto death, but was miraculously healed after a time. It helps the economy in general, buy American made (and new), I noticed in Aussie, imports are a lot more expensive than 'Aussie made', they have incentives also for buying Australian cars, and they seem to have one of the healthiest economies out of all the major ecomomies, Also New Zealand already has a policy on not importing cars any older than 10 years old, and they are VERY strict on safety inspections of cars over that age already in the country, as they do pose a higher risk to road safety as the majority are not generally well maintained.

That is how I feel, I have tried to put up with it for the money, but is it worth the cost to my family and spirituality? Also I have looked into the area and there is no LDS church for approximately 3 hours drive . I believe that you live up to the expectations of those you most associate with. Hey guys, thank you so much for your replies. here is a bit more info on the situation. Due to the nature of people generally in my industry, When I am away, I am immersed in an atmosphere of Alcohol, drugs, profanity and pornography. This another major point of my wanting to quit. Because We have communal living situations, it is hard to get away from. Future contracts ensure closer living quarters in the outback, where I will have no contact with the family for up to three weeks And be around these people and this atmosphere 24/7. (and don't talk about being a positive influence on people, these guys are hard ). My wife and I are trying to grow another home business, Which we can do If we are together. We can move to the small town where I am working at the moment but as I said earlier, future contracts will require me to travel further away again for longer times, and then she will be living in a small town with no support and no friends and we will not be able to grow our business. I have prayed about it and The recurring message I feel I get is 'put your faith in Me(God)', Which is the cause of my dilemma. I feel to put my faith in Him is to be with my family and find another contract closer to home. But I'm scared to do that when I am earning good money. And my wife just needs me there as raising small children alone is taking it's toll on her, that she feels like a single mum. and for instance has had hardly any sleep for the last week, and my boy has tantrums daily when I am away travelling, He is at the age where he notices I'm away but can't understand or communicate how he feels. so has regular tantrums instead, so This is a source of my guilt, Me being away affecting my kids and leaving the wife to deal with it. I feel like I have learned a lesson from being out here, It's like God was showing me the choice i have: Do I want the 'worldly life' (booze, drugs etc.) or Do I want His Life (I was having temptations with these sorts of things)and to follow him. I really don't know what to do though. I am confident in my abilities to find something else closer to home that may not pay as well but is still consistent. If I move to where I work now then I cut of all other options of finding any other contracts also. I don't want to do anything rash, and i am greatful for the money I earn, but..... Thanks again guys, your thoughts are great, It's always great to get opinions from people 'outside' of our situtation. it helps a great deal, keep them coming.

Hi There everyone, I Have a small dilemma with my current work situation. I am a contract builder, earning ok money (2-3k per week) with a secure contract to ensure me work for quite some time. I enjoy my work. but here is the problem. It requires me to travel away from my family for up to 2 weeks and then have a few days at home then off traveling again. We have two small children 10 weeks and 2 years old. We have moved country for me to work here and my wife has no support at all while I am away. I feel guilt for this, and miss her and my Children as every time I come back they have changed in such a short time. It also requires me to work on sundays. problem is again that we need the money. And if anyone hasn't noticed there is a worldwide bust in the building industry so I am lucky to have a source of good income. I want to put my faith in God and trial it, by leaving my work and looking for another contract that will let me be with my family daily. I believe there is no other way to do it, but cut off all current bridges, as they are stopping me from putting my absolute trust in Him. I believe This is what God wants for me but I am scared/ lacking in faith to put my trust in Him, when My situation is 'make or break'. weak I know but I feel I have always tried to rely on myself, which has probably caused this problem. Any thoughts, Articles or advice, experiences would be greatly appreciated. Money for bills? or faith and Family and risking income?

The reason no one listens to him is because he wants to see a return to constitutional principles of governance. The majority of people are wanting socialism. So unfortunately his views are 'nutty'. I think he is a very intelligent man.

Don't be quick to judge him as deceitful and a bad person. Depression makes people do crazy things. I know from experience that it plays havoc with the way you think and act, for me rest came in admitting everything was not alright, That needed to admit to my wife how I felt, what I was struggling with inside me. the reasons I lied and hid things from her was because I wanted to protect her from our problems, I wanted her to have everything she wanted, and didn't want to burden her with how things were at the time. I didn't want her to worry, so I took it all on myself. By finally opening up and by releasing a whole lot of pent up issues, I was able to start back to getting right. While my case wasn't extreme, when you are in that place you need help, love and support and understanding to help pull you through to the otherside.

Hi Maria, A few of my family members including myself have had experiences, not often, but enough to know there are spirits out there. I have seen things visually, As well as 'sensing' things, So has one of my sisters, my brother and his wife and my mother. We are all practicing and believeing Mormons. I have heard quantum physics also confirms several other dimensions parallel to our own (maybe some of the more educated ones here can elaborate), some can see those other dimensions while the majority cannot. It has been refered to as 'the veil' in LDS belief. Imagine a veil over your face, some peoples veil is thinner than others.
