Outshined Posted August 31, 2004 Author Report Posted August 31, 2004 I'm in Kingsport, which is in the Northeast corner, near Bristol. Yep, the crystal was approved for scrounging. As you can see in the picture, the whole building was pretty much a wreck anyway. And thanks for the kind words. :) Quote

shanstress70 Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 I enjoyed the photos of Iraq... very interesting! I know this is a stupid question but I have to ask: did you have to leave Rocky there? Quote
Faerie Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 poor Rocky...what a cute pup!! outshined: let me know when you're in town next and we'll have you over for dinner :) granted my house is completely trashed right now due to fixing up the nursery and finding a place for everything we've shoved in that room over the past 3 years, but my dining room table is clear :) Quote

Yes, we weren't allowed to take him out of the country. But since he'd gotten used to being fed and taken care of, we left him with another unit that had just arrived. He was a good dog, rarely barked. Quote

I'm sure he is being taken care of Shantress.....you know about guys and their dogs....they treat them like children a lot of the time....And don't let the thought of "military" make you think that the dog will not fair out well.....most military men I knew have hearts of gold behind the cammies and guns. I wouldn't worry about the dog....he'll probably eat better than most of the men. Quote
Outshined Posted September 1, 2004 Author Report Posted September 1, 2004 He was getting a little fat... Quote
Blessed Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Outshined, Thank you for serving your nation and thank your wife who, like me, misses her husband when he is gone on deployments. Pics are great. Blessed Quote

Pets can be a great diversion! Quote
