sutterkim Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 Hi my name is Kimberly Sutter. I am soon to be married to my best friend, Dan Lomker. We have been together for 6.5 years and are trying to live the gospel. We recently went back to church. Dan's oldest daughter, Mariah, from a previous marriage, was baptized on October 11. It was just incredible to know that she made the choice to be part of the great work. I am a convert to the church as well. I joined when I was 17 back in 1993. So I will be celebrating 15 years in the church in December. I never had the opportunity to grow up with the gospel and have the priesthood in the home. I am so excited to be able to raise my family around the gospel. It brings so much harmony in our home. Dan used to be an alcoholic and has recently gotten sober and stopped smoking. He is doing really good and is headed for his goal of receiving the Melchezideck priesthood. We are doing very well. I am just looking for friendship and for other Latter-Day Saints that we can converse with. I want all of you to know that I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. It really is good news and brings good tidings. Heavenly Father is real. He listens and he is there. I know that the many years that I wasn't around the church, I turned my back on him but he never gave up on me. He led me back to the herd. He loves us so much. I know that Jesus died for me that I would be able to return to Heavenly Father. Joseph Smith and every prophet from his time on have been true and wonderful prophets. They are men with the stregnth of God. I feel so blessed to live in this time that we may be instructed by the Lord's servants. How comforting it is to know that Heavenly Father is watching over his people. Anyway, I would love to hear from you all and know how your side of the world is...:) Thanks for letting me share. I bear this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Quote
