Dr T Posted March 11, 2011 Author Report Posted March 11, 2011 The game recap looked like this game was a good one. It looked like a battle. Good job Miami. We do not face them again this year unless we meet them post season. Kobe blamed himself for the loss. Quote
Dr T Posted March 12, 2011 Author Report Posted March 12, 2011 The Lakers had a tough couple of minutes to close out Thursday evening's loss at Miami, but a key stretch at the end of the third quarter in which L.A. turned the ball over four times in five possessions may have been the difference in the contest. Dr T Posted March 12, 2011 Author Report Posted March 12, 2011 Tonight we end our 4 game road trip when we face the Mavs. The Lakers are 46-20 while Dallas is 47-18. They are 1 1/2 games ahead of my boys for the second-best record in the West. The Mavericks won 109-100 in our first meeting. They are tough. We can do it. GO LAKERS! Quote
Dr T Posted March 13, 2011 Author Report Posted March 13, 2011 We did what we had to do to take the Mavs tonight. Bynum had 22 points and 15 boards as we took them down 96-91 in Dallas. Pau added 18 points and 5 rebounds while Kobe had 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Good job boys. Keep it up. Quote
Dr T Posted March 14, 2011 Author Report Posted March 14, 2011 With 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter in our last game against the Mavs Kobe twisted his ankle. It looked awful! Jackson said, "It will be a game time decision" if he'll play or not against Orlando. I know he plays though sicknesses, torn things in his finger, etc. but we'll see. I hope he feels better soon. Quote
Dr T Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Posted March 15, 2011 I just got home from Bible study. It's 41-46 Orlando at the end of the first half. We've only shot 35%. Kobe is playing tonight. Our bench numbers seem very flat to nonexistent. One more half. GO LAKERS! Quote
Dr T Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Posted March 15, 2011 97-84 Lakers! My boys really picked it up in the 3rd and 4th. Pau had the game high 23 points. Bynum had 10 with 18 boards, Kobe and L.O. both had 16 points, and 15 for Fish. I'm pleased with how they played. WTG LAKERS! Keep it up. :) Quote

Dr T Posted March 17, 2011 Author Report Posted March 17, 2011 We've lost a number of games to bad teams this year. We have been playing well recently against some tough teams. I have only 14 games left this season. I hope to stay ahead of the Mavs. They are only 1/2 a game behind us. Kobe did not practice today. He did some rehab and some strength training today. We'll see if he plays on Friday. Quote
Dr T Posted March 19, 2011 Author Report Posted March 19, 2011 After days off, the Lakers (48-20) match up with the Minnesota Timberwolves (17-52) at 7:30pm tonight. We have won all three matchups against Minnesota this season and 13-straight. The Wolves play a triangle too but they play it in reverse. I hope we do well and Kobe is alright. I hope he doesn't hurt himself more if he plays on his twisted ankle. Quote
Dr T Posted March 19, 2011 Author Report Posted March 19, 2011 Pau had 25 points and Kobe 18 as the Lakers held off the Timberwolves 106-98 tonight. Andrew Bynum added 10 and 14 rebounds as LA swept the season series 4-0. Next up, we face Portland on Sunday. Good job boys! Quote
Dr T Posted March 21, 2011 Author Report Posted March 21, 2011 We have won three-straight and are back in action tonight vs. the Portland Trailblazers. The Lakers have won both of our games against Portland this year. Go Lakers! Quote
Dr T Posted March 21, 2011 Author Report Posted March 21, 2011 The NBA said today that Bynum will be suspened without pay for two games for the flagrant foul Friday night. He ill not play tonight and Kobe has a bad ankle and sore neck from last game too. I hope we hand it. Quote
Dr T Posted March 21, 2011 Author Report Posted March 21, 2011 We had a difficult time tonight and it was a close match until the closing minute. Lakers took it 84-80 with Pau pulling down 13 boards, LO playing tough with 16 points, 11 boards and 6 Assists, and Kobe's 22 points. Dr T Posted March 21, 2011 Author Report Posted March 21, 2011 NBA power ranking. On 3/21/11 they ranked my Lakers at #1 again. Here's what it said, L.A. Lakers (50-20)Pace: 93.3 (20), Off: 108.5 (4), Def: 101.3 (7)The Lakers' defense has been ridiculously good since the All-Star break, holding their opponents to just 97.0 points per 100 possessions. Even with Andrew Bynum serving the first game of his two-game suspension, they held the Blazers to 80 points (just 32 in the second half) on Sunday. Quote
Dr T Posted March 23, 2011 Author Report Posted March 23, 2011 The Lakers (50-20) vs. Phoenix (35-33) tonight. I hope we don't take them lightly and we do not get more hurt than we already are. Quote
Dr T Posted March 23, 2011 Author Report Posted March 23, 2011 I think I'm going to try and go to bed early but the Lakers had a good 2nd quarter and we pulled ahead 60-66 at the half. I hope they keep it going. Quote
Dr T Posted March 23, 2011 Author Report Posted March 23, 2011 I'm tired but I stayed awake because my boys did not do too hot in the 4th and it's all tied up at 112. We go to overtime. Come on and close this out boys! Quote
Dr T Posted March 23, 2011 Author Report Posted March 23, 2011 Finally we win! 137-139. To bed I go. Night all. :) Quote
Dr T Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Posted March 24, 2011 Since Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol represented L.A. on February 17-21, the Lakers have won 13 of the 14 games they’ve played, including six on the road and all seven at home, a winning rate of .928. They’ve done it primarily with excellent defense, allowing 100+ points only twice. Quote from Lakers.com WTG Boys! Keep it up. Bynum comes back next game. Quote
Dr T Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Posted March 24, 2011 My boys have won 51 games this season at this point. Phil Jackson has now won at least 50 games in 17 of his 20 seasons as an NBA head coach. Bring it home to LA again Lakers! Quote
Dr T Posted March 25, 2011 Author Report Posted March 25, 2011 Andrew comes back next game like I said so we'll see how his two games off affects our team, how he plays and how him missing and others picking up more minutes with him gone, especially that triple OT minutes. Go Lakers! Quote
