Dr T Posted March 26, 2011 Author Report Posted March 26, 2011 For those of you that have missed it, The Lakers (51-20) won both games during Andrew Bynum's suspension to make it five-straight victories and run their record to 13-1 since the All-Star break. Dr T Posted March 27, 2011 Author Report Posted March 27, 2011 I could not get on this site so here is the info about last night's game: Kobe Bryant posted 37 points and six assists as the Lakers defeated the Clippers 112-104 for their sixth consecutive win at Staples Center on Friday night. Pau Gasol added 26 points and eight rebounds while Andrew Bynum had 11 points and 12 rebounds. I think it is cool Pau gave $26,000 to Japan. I admire him. Quote

Dr T Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) Week 22 power ranking: The champs are officially back to playing like their old selves. The defense has been especially good, and Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom keep showing up and showing opponents that the Lakers just have a little more in the tank than most. It remains crowded at the top and this team has flaws, but they've earned this spot. above was from FoxL.A. Lakers (50-20)Pace: 93.3 (20), Off: 108.5 (4), Def: 101.3 (7)The Lakers' defense has been ridiculously good since the All-Star break, holding their opponents to just 97.0 points per 100 possessions. Even with Andrew Bynum serving the first game of his two-game suspension, they held the Blazers to 80 points (just 32 in the second half) on Sunday. from NBA Power ranking. Dr T Posted March 31, 2011 Author Report Posted March 31, 2011 My boys (53-20) return to the STAPLES Center tonight against the Mavs. They have the best road record in the NBA. Dallas is 53-21. This is a big game. Quote
Dr T Posted March 31, 2011 Author Report Posted March 31, 2011 Dallas is a very good team. This is the 11th straight season they've won at least 50 games. They have star players, they play very well with a sharing attitude, have the Big man Dirk, a very stong bench and will really make it tough for us tonight. The Mavs are right on our heels but if we play how we know how, inside/out we can beat them for the second time in our third and last meeting with them this regular season. GO LAKERS! Quote
Dr T Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 51-54 Lakers at the half but they've out rebounded us 25 to 18 and we are only shooting 25% from 3 point land. I'm happy we are winning but I really want to walk away with a W tonight. GO LAKERS! Quote
Dr T Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 We did it! We had 5 players scored in double figures as we defeated the Mavericks 110-82 in our house tonight. Kobe scored 28 points, 5 boards and 4 assists while Bynum added 18 points and 13 rebounds and Pau had 20 points and 7 rebounds. L.O. took off in the 3rd and played like we need him to in this game starting off the 4th well also he finished with 16 points with 11 boards and Artest tallied 13 points tonight too. :) This was a testy game and there were ejections! I'm happy with the win. Quote
Dr T Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 We have a back-to-back tomorrow night vs. Utah. They often play us tough so I don't want to take them lightly. Then on Sunday we face Denver. We can do it boys! Quote
Dr T Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 We've won 8 straight and sit 2.5 games back of first place in the Western Conference. We are (54-20). Tonight we see the new look at an old foe's new lineup when we travel to Utah to face the Jazz (36-39) Quote
Dr T Posted April 2, 2011 Author Report Posted April 2, 2011 Matt Barnes has been suspended one game without pay for "escalating an on-court altercation and actions following his ejection", it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations. An assistant coach grabbed Barnes and Barnes shook him off and the coach fell into the chairs. He kept saying, "These guys are like family. You can't somebody come into your house and hit your brother like that or push him to the floor." Quote

Dr T Posted April 2, 2011 Author Report Posted April 2, 2011 Our game tonight against Utah started out just as I feared. We were not playing too hot. We were down by as many as 17 in the first half. We cut the lead close to the end of the first half then we came out a really played. We took this game 96-85. Kobe had 21 points while Pau and L.O. each scored 16. We won our 9th straight and moved to within a game and a half of first place in the Western Conference since the Spurs lost to the Rockets in OT tonight. :) This is FUN! Keep it up boys! I'd like home court. :) Quote
Dr T Posted April 2, 2011 Author Report Posted April 2, 2011 I understand LO was throwing up while in UT before the game last night. I'm happy he played and did well and is now feeling better. Matt Barnes is back at pract. today too. Keep it up boys. We have some tough games left and the Spurs only need to win 1 or two while we can't lose another one to take top seed in the West. it's ok. No pressure. (As if any of them are reading this ) Quote
Dr T Posted April 3, 2011 Author Report Posted April 3, 2011 We host Denver tomorrow at 12:30. They traded Anthony and Billups so their team looks different. Thay have faster new additions and very athletic gaurds. They also have Nene at center and he gives us a hard time. Bynum is a taller but Nene is bigger in size I think. The Lakers (55-20) look to push their nine-game winning streak into double-digits today when they take on the Denver Nuggets (46-29) who are riding a five-game winning streak of their own. GO LAKERS!
