mavreenrose Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Hi! Can you suggest activities that would teach kids about handling money and also on caring for the environment? Thanks! We have come up with a treasure hunt to let them know that getting money requires work.. then we have an activity wherein they get to plan out their budgets.. and also on saving.. and tithing.. we have film showings for recycling and global warming.. but we sure could use better ideas.. thanks! skalenfehl Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Spring,s almost here. Go look for good deals on plants, flowers, trees, etc and see how much you can save and then plant the trees. Quote
Berean Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Sorry I was confused...Green Day is also a pop "punk" band...I knew there were not punk activities...sorry. *goes back where she belongs* Quote
mightynancy Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Ska, she's in the Philippines...she may not be watching the snow melt away. Can you link earth-friendly activities to saving money? Maybe you could have an educator from the electric utility teach the kids about conservation, which is both earth-friendly and financially wise. It sounds like a wonderful activity! Quote
Fiannan Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Sorry I was confused...Green Day is also a pop "punk" band...I knew there were not punk activities...sorry.*goes back where she belongs* That's what I thought about too but I thought Green Day was more alternative than punk. Quote
