the Ogre Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 So? There might be an end to this charade? After 35 pages?I have been hoping a mod would step in for the last two days when it became obvious that we are merely the entertainment devices for a troll. This thread hasn't gone anywhere since page 27 at least. I think it is time to lock it.

Pam, her highness?Inflict upon this unruly and misguided intruder thy touch and brand the skin of his avatar with the sign of the unfit (BANNED)....and send him on his merry way, please;);)PS: I am reading (paraphrasing at times) Shakespeare's Henry the VII to my kids. I could not stomach the SHO rendition. Can you tell? Edited May 20, 2009 by Islander
aj4u Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 (edited) So, make a point. You tell me to make a point as if you don't understand the questions and comments I am asking and saying. Someone else says I come out blazing. This is not about my comming out blazing or my discrediting myself. I don't care about me. I care about the truth! If you don't care about what is true than I am done, but even if one cares about what is true, I'll put up with all the name calling. I thought maybe you could share something that makes sense from my research. Can you show me how plagiarisms and false prophecy is not apparent? If not, why are you calling me names? Is it because I have presented you with good fair questions that you have NO answers for? Do you cover over it by telling me I descredit myself or calling me a troll? What difference does it make to you what I am? The point is what are you going to do with the truth when you see it? Edited May 20, 2009 by aj4u
the Ogre Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 The point is what are you going to do with the truth when you see it?Try to get this thread closed . . . I can't stand trolls and I cannot stand people who spew nonsense non-stop with out consideration for others. I don't tolerate it in person and there is no reason to tolerate it in a forum.BTW: the only truth I see is your continual confirmation of what you are.
the Ogre Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 The biggest problem is that there are no mods logged in right now.
prospectmom Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 aj4u... the truth as you see it is so different from the truth as they/we see it and thus is the problem. You turn and twist things to give you the answer you are looking for which is to discredit and discount our church...... The guys here feel as passionate as you do and are doing all they can to present their beliefs ..... the sad thing is NO ONE is listening....... As far as teh MODS there are no rules being broken and while it may be frustrating that you can't change aj4u's mind seeds have been planted which may take time to grow....... Personally I think after being in a cult I would be hyper vigilant to not letting it happen again..... I know I will be no ones faverote for speaking but ..... I do not think Jesus would act this way ...... and we are trying to be/ act like he would right?????? again apologies for jumping in but just can't help myself
prospectmom Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Ogre you and Islander could choose not to respond and a funny thing might occur the thread might end...

As far as teh MODS there are no rules being broken and while it may be frustrating that you can't change aj4u's mind seeds have been planted which may take time to grow.......Mom:I know no rules have been broken, but this thread has gotten to the point of absolute pointlessness. It needs to end. Thanks for jumping in, I always enjoy reading your posts.Aaron the Ogre
prospectmom Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Ogre I mean no offense to anyone..... just trying to point out butting heads gets nowhere..... I am aware of all the posts as I have been following..... I do understand the frustration of you all and I do see where aj4u is comming from even though I disagree with him.... I respect his right to believe what he does....... Plus kindness works so much better than attacks from both sides
aj4u Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 I notice that the Bible says that Messiah would would be born in Bethlehem(Micah 5:2) Mat. 2:1 records the fulfillment of the prophecy, Alma 7:9,10 states "Jerusalem as a city (Nephi 1:4) as was Bethlehem, so this clash or contradiction doesn't make sense to me. Can you explain that to me?

I am also being very careful not to say anything negative about what you or anyone believes in Mormonism. I am not making statements for any to agree or disagree with. If there is a disagreement and something I said wasn't right or true, believe me I will apologize so quickly it would make everyone's head spin. I really do appreciate your comments in particular. I would like to see what it is that someone is disagreeing with so I can recant any invalid information. So far, I am told "We told you," but I see nothing explicitly showing me where I am mistaking in the information I presented. Edited May 20, 2009 by aj4u

There is quite a good answer to his question from a non-LDS cultural anthropologist that I saved to my hard-drive (it deals with urban-studies -- that's why I have it), but I am not going to post it, because he is not interested in answers. He is only interested in sowing discord and dissent. Considering the methodologies of "concerned trolls," your (very kind) intervention won him a point (see second quote above). This has nothing to do with doctrine, it has to do with pointlessness.the Ogre Edited May 20, 2009 by the Ogre
prospectmom Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 (edited) aj4u if you notice there are references in each verse in the Book of Mormon.... the reference over Jerusulam... is Luke 2:4 there is no trying to change it.... I do not know why it is said differently but all references go back to the origional accounting I think if you referenced more you would find less frustration Edited May 20, 2009 by prospectmom
aj4u Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 I really care about my reputation on this forum. It is important that I present accurate information about what I see. Can I be wrong? yes, but I believe with all my heart that the comments are worthy of discussion and explanation. I can respect you for saying "They are good points AJjU, But we don't have any answers." That is all. There are lots of things I don't understand about the Bible, but I find it to be accurate prophectically and historically.
